This is the beginning of the wheels coming off. When Wilsons contract is up, either he goes or Pete goes. It'll be Pete. Yeah he just signed a 5 year extension, but that was due to Jody and her lackeys having no interest or knowledge of the game and that bought them some time to figure out what they want to do moving forward. I expect the team to be sold in the next couple years.

I agree this is just a way to push them to focus on OL. The Hawks have made moves to address the OL. They just haven't always been good moves.

It has been addressed plenty, but either they havent taken the right guy or developed people properly. Major blindspot in the PC/JS era

How is he using that as an excuse? He's had 9 straight winning seasons with the most wins by any QB during those 9 years.

And that's while he's been running for his life behnd subpar O-lines for years.

Non story because he's not going anywhere this season.

But I don't think Wilson and Carroll exactly are lock and step with each other these days either. Lie detector them both and I'd say Carroll isn't thrilled that he's paying a guy top dollar when he just wants a guy to hand the ball off and manage the game while Wilson isn't thrilled at Carroll's approach to offense and the inability to increase the talent level on that side of the ball as well.

My prediction is if Carroll is still around Wilson doesn't get another contract extension with the team and he'll look to unload Wilson for a massive haul of picks. So Wilson will be a Seahawk in 21 and 22 but I don't think he'll be one in 23.

This is a possibility .... It’s hard to believe he’s been with Seattle for almost 10 years now, time fly’s ... Russ has been a solid player, I could see some teams going after him aggressively .... Would suck to see him leave, but all era’s come to an end at some point ....

I've been saying this for years. They have never really focused on upgrading that O-line and blocking schemes.
