He and Kraft were swapping spit all during the game when Vrabel was inducted into the Patriots HOF.

The ""National"" media have already chosen the landing spot for Russell Wilson to be the NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS.

The Boston media hasn't bitten, but then again, it's a holiday.

ESPN has already started discussing what it will take to get a QB of Wilson's quality.

One commentator tried to have some common sense and suggested that the Broncos swap Wilson for Mac Jones and offer to pay half of his salary. His idea was that both Mac and Wilson would be new places and get each would have a clean start. The Patriots would benefit by having to only shell out about $21.5M per year for two years and could use the draft to strengthen the OL and draft a QB in the 2nd or 3rd round.

Personally, I don't think Wilson would want to be here. Especially with a disciplinarian like BB.

Can't wait for the Boston folks to get started on this.

I don't think he has what it takes anymore.

Plus could he deal with playing in the cold?

Considering how well the Bengals have been put together over the past three years, Trey Brown seems to be the most intriguing.

Anyone hear any updates on this? I read something the other day that stated the Kraft's may wait until after the draft to hire a GM. If so this worries me, it gives me Jerry Jones vibes of "Hey I want you to draft these guys" and " Hey here is a list of FA signings we want". I've not known them to be this involved in the past, but it does seem weird if they wait until after the draft.

I've read a few times now that it's looking more and more like it will be a collaboration between Mayo, Groh, and Wolf.

If that is in fact true then it's looking like the Patriots minus Belichick.

Is this a bone to the reporters while Patriots figure out what they're doing?

According to BST last night, Eliot Wolfe will be the new GM and Matt Groh will be the Player Personnel VP.

According to Greg Bedard, the phones at Gillette have been red hot with Face Time interviews for OC and DC. The favorite right now for DC is Steve Belichick. But don't hang your hat on that.

All of this is rumor, but supposedly the Patriots have interviewed Cliff Kingsbury, who the Bears have supposedly made an offer. They have also spoken with Eric Bienemy, Alex Atkins FL St. OC and Ryan Grubb U of Wash OC.

Bill O'Brien has accepted the position of OC at OSU. No NFL teams called the Patriots to ask for permission to speak to him about a HC position.

Hints from Foxboro are that more than half of the people associated with BB have cleaned out their desks and have departed Gillette.

Mayo has apparently gotten enough power that he's told everyone not to leak a single drop of information or they will be among the unemployed.

Kind of fun watching all of the media insiders struggling to even come up with a rumor.
