Hopefully not Watson

I hear Watson's being brought along as just QB's coach and possible co-Offensive Coordinator.

I wonder if his pay will stay the same if he's only QB's coach, or if he takes a paycut?

Paycut from what? What job does he currently have?

Shawn Watson was Strong's OC at Lousiville.

Key phrase here. He will take what he is given unless somebody else has offered him an OC spot. Right now, he is unemployed. Petrino is cleaning house.

:L

Less pay than at his previous job under Strong.

Only a fucking dipshit would need that spelled out for him.

Only a dipshit wouldn't understand an unemployed person can't take a pay cut.

Ok, so Wickline is also the OC. I thought he was just the OL coach. We'll be running Okie Jr's offense this year. Very interesting......

Football is won from the inside out: we have been soft from the inside out for 5 or 6 years. Air-raid offenses don't win championships. Baylor, Texas Tech have offenses that fly early in the seasons. But they never fly to the championship. I think we are going to be happy with this coaching staff.

Totally agree. I've always been a fan of Okie Jr's offense b/c it's balanced, it's not pass heavy and doesn't have to rely on the pass so much the way OU, TTECH and Baylor do.

Well, Jr should have played for a BCS title in '11 and almost won the Big 12 again this year. It's a good, balanced offense they have over there.

:nono:

Title worthy teams don't lose to 7-6 teams. Bam.

It's all going to work out fine. Mark this post. Going to look back and say, "this aint the Texas we've been playing the past five years. Damn!"

See some of yall in the playoffs, by 2015.

I think our best chance, roster wise, is actually next year (assuming Ash comes back).

Strong picked up a good recruit today. Had offers from Ohio State, OU, ND and Tex a&m. He's going to get some good players to come to Texas. I have good feelings about the future.

On speaking about his staff: "I told them that from the start. This is a coaching staff with no egos."

Kinda different than the recent past.
