I like this for KC. Never thought of Gordon as a leadoff man.

Probably because he isn't.

File his being there as a case of there just being nobody else to fill the role. Now, where he will hit will all depend on who else they bring in, especially thinking about Beltran. Without Beltran, I see him as their # 3 hitter. Without, he may be # 5 or even 6.

•The Mets were interested in Brewers outfielder Norichika Aoki, reports FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal (on Twitter). The Brewers, however, liked pitcher Will Smith more than a player like Mets first baseman Ike Davis, so they shipped Aoki to the Royals instead.
