Yeah, very disappointing.

I was looking forward to him playing Monfils in the 4th round, and Murray in the QF.

He couldn't create a winner the last two sets, was always on the run.

He's been struggling since winning the Aussie excluding Monte Carlo. Outside of that tournament, he has not won more than 2 matches in any tourney since winning the Aussie Open

The media overhyped him I think. Wow-rinka, Stanimal and other monikers did him a world of hurt than good. He lost focus.

Wawrinka's been playing for a long time, and has always been level-headed. A very private guy who centers himself with his family and close friends more than anything.

I'd say the media's reaction to his Aussie Open win has maybe a 3% effect on his sense of self-worth/ego.
