He doesn't have to show the fan base anything. How many times do we need to tell you this?

But it would have shown DEAN that he really wanted to be here had he come onto Sports center and made his contract demands known.

Or the reality is, it would have given the ABC crowd more ammo to say.. oh he is just being greedy.

He could have waited until next week to sign the tag and would have the same options.

Or as Skinsdad mentioned, he could have waited until week 10 to sign, do his six weeks and be free of this team.

sorry he wasn't turning down 24mg.

Again he didnt have to. He could have waited until a week before the season. And lets be real, if the Skins decided to pull the tag back... he would have atleast three teams itching to sign him long term.

LOL, this is truly funny because its a catch22 for Kurt now.
Kurt is greedy, he doesn't fight for the fans -- but ultimately I thought some folks are getting what they want -- more cap space and a QB reboot. LOL!

"Kurt"

that is 2 mil below this years tag with little guaranteed money

Actually the average yearly value would be a cool $6M below this years tag.

Oh and it was structured in such a way that they could cut him outright after 2018 and save cap space. So it was really just a one year extension with $1.5M more than the trans tag for next year.

Bruce thinks he is slick, and some fans will fall for it hook line and sinker

Was just looking at CSN talk show and a panel that included Brian Mitchell expects Cousins to be the starting QB in 2018. Interesting they don't believe this relationship isn't beyond repair.

He better have an amazing year to justify getting paid 25-28 million a year when he hasn't won anything yet and hasn't shown he can make the big play with the game on the line

So wait, leading the team back from a 24 point hole to win it shows he cant make the big play when the game is on the line??

See thats the thing, people are quick to ditch Kirk because he hasnt shown to be elite, forgetting that we havent had an elite QB in DC since Sonny J.

Its going to be interesting seeing which posters are all in on trading what ever it takes to draft the next great hype, and will crucify the rest of the team if its a first round pick leading us to 4-12 records.

how about , cincy , detroit tampa down 24 and made comeback , how about 4 straight wins to get us in playoffs with the season on the line

how about getting the game winning drive with the winning FG with 151 left ? this time the defense did its job

he certainly can make plays when it counts and has

Right they haven't that's true... But does that mean Washington should open up their wallets for him?
