I heard an interview with Terrell Davis yesterday about this. He said that although it would be tough to miss the birth of a child, he couldn't live with himself if he missed the game and his team lost. I have to think that Sherman would feel the same way.

OK, Can't confirm, but the reports say his girlfriend IS in FACT in Phoenix. Not Seattle. Not confirmed, just what I heard on local radio and media.

Mmmm I think it would be a big deal if he misses the birth of his first born. I speak from experience. You don't want to miss that, you'll regret it. Here's to hoping the kid holds off until after the game.

I am telling you right now, and call me what you will, but missing the super bowl for the birth of your child is dumb. Look at it like yer at war or some shit, and go to work. I know your child is a big deal, but I would never forgive my Dad, if he chose my birth over the super bowl.

Why would he risk an unnecessary surgery over a flippin football game? And he'd gut it up no matter what. When I was finishing up courses for my second degree I was in an OR at 3 AM for a c-section for my first sons birth and 7:00 PM I was taking a final after not sleeping for over 36 yours. You do what you have to do for your family and I'm sure he realizes that.

Is this the fucking 1970s? Is Sherman a fucking midwife that the birth can't transpire safely if he's not there? Ever hear of a thing called Skype? If she gave birth during the game he could probably be allowed to Skype at halftime or when the offense is on the field. By the way I've always thought it kind of stupid of athletes to knock up their girlfriends in the beginning part of the offseason. Makes you wonder how many can think ahead in basic math and how quickly they lose track of how many kids they have, birthdays, etc.
