Thats what would change. They wouldnt be running plays out of Waldron's play book.

But as @beardown07 mentioned, if the org hasnt made a change early Monday morning, timing would suggest they wont.

btw
Saw a blurb that Kliff Kingsbury has leap-frogged Ben Johnson as the next Bears HC.

Fun Fact: Of the 17 teams from 2011 to 2020 that have fired their coach midseason have gone 10-7 their next game. Doesnt include the kast 3 seasons but Jets won after firing Selah.
Sorry man, but no way they would be installing a different offense in a week. Whoever is on the staff who would take over calling plays are all coaching the same plays.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders.

Thats my fault. What i meant was they wont be calling the same broken plays from his playbook.

That said, installing a new offense may not be as complicated as you think. Usually, the play is broken down into 4 parts: formation, play type, offensive line protection scheme and cadence.

The lingo may be different, but the basics transcend all playbooks. Red, 22, Omaha!

Replace Poles 1st.

He is responsible for ignoring the line.

Replace any descendants of George. These are entitled offspring of a man who gave them everything. It’s obvious that their pockets come first, team second.

This shit doesn’t happen in Pittsburgh or Green Bay. The 2 best organizations in the NFL.

The entire line is and has been hurt, dude. I don't understand why people are willfully ignoring this fact. The line was also quite respectable the previous two years. It didn't need some kind of an overhaul.

Poles has one glaring blemish on his mark - Matt Eberflus and his continued allegiance to him.

Poles has had not one, but two off-seasons where it would have been appropriate to fire Flus. The most previous one? You're kicking the tires with a new all-world prospect of a QB and key veteran additions. The perfect spot to segue away from the "bridge seasons" with Flus/Fields. But... you didn't do it. Why? A handful of wins down the stretch of a 10 loss season?

yeah, it was interesting listening to Brad Biggs this morning. I would mention how Caleb is sitting on the sidelines no tablet in hand, just staring off into space, no coaches around him. At this point, you would think, the quarterback coach or OC would be saying, you know, the next third and five we are going to try to run this if we get that same look. Have some preparation.
Then he brought up how Everflus blamed communication between coaches and players yesterday. Kinda sounds like nobody is talking to players on the sidelines. They also brought up how Chris Morgan had some great blocking schemes and how they used them with a line that was also not so great. That made me think that this was one of the coaches Everflus kept from last year. So it is basically Morgan coaching up his line and Waldron calling the wrong play behind that scheme. To your points, its simple, we are running that line scheme and you are running between the double team the guard and tackle are creating for you.
Chris Morgan is not one of the names listed to be calling plays, but he sure seems to know what runs are going to work with his schemes.
Is that the disconnect? Morgan runs his lines, but Waldron runs his plays that do not work together because he was saddled with Morgan and not his own choice of OL coach? How many times have I written how it seems we always have a 330 pounder pulling one side to the other. Why? Push the line of scrimmage and the running back gains yardage. Thats what they need is Caleb to have like 19-25 attempts this week and the line of scrimmage moving in our favor. But that means first drive needs to lead to a TD and play with the lead for once this season.

Yeah, I would prefer to see two moves here. The first will be making sure Brown can work with Morgan.

The second move I would like to see is Everflus turning defensive playcalling back to Washington who kicked ass in the preseason.

That would at minimum make me believe that Everflus is paying more attention to the offensive side instead of planning his next defensive moves while the offense has the football.

At minimum, this bought Everflus the balance of the season so the bears can continue their streak of not firing head coaches.
