"Probably?" After back to back games with baserunning screw-ups, it might as WELL be the end for 'em.

Just get swept and fold afterwards...save yourselves any further embarrassment.

just sickening...even for them.

I keep saying this but I would pick ANYONE in mlb over julio when the game is on the line. he's a dumbass.
He'll either choke at the plate or do some keystone cops stupid shit on while on base.
I agree 100%

Mr. superstar was so preoccupied with how good he was going to look high, stepping in his fancy glitter cleats avoiding the bat thinking about all the great video coverage. It’s going to get on SportsCenter and MLB Central.

The dumbass was totally unaware of the situation of a baseball game, simply due to being preoccupied with how he personally was going to look on replay camera, on the bizarre play with the bat flying towards him

He’s a total shit show and the Mariners are in a deep hole paying this ass clown for the next decade, plus

On a more positive note, we have discovered something. The Mariners are good at….

Matching the Astros win for win and loss for loss on a nightly basis. a perfect mathematical scenario of staying exactly the number of games behind they were a week and a half ago to two weeks ago.

Not that they were ever going to make up any ground we all knew that, but it is very coincidental how the Astros win the Mariners win the Astros lose the Mariners lose.

Not to make an excuse at all, but there should be a rule change where that is a dead ball. Cause let’s just say he got hit with the bat without a rule change they can throw him out

yeah, it should be, but it isn't. he said that he thought it would be a dead ball and that's part of why he made the mistake.

"After I saw the bat, I thought it was gonna be the dead play,"

I know the rule, and I'm not getting paid $60,000 per strikeout like he is. there is no excuse at all, as you said.

These last 2 idiotic plays sums up the entire season of bullshit. Forget about the lack of clutch hitting but we have a team full of fucking morons. Poor base running giving other teams easy stupid outs and lack of game focus also causing giving the other team easy stupid outs. It's too late now but next season Dan Wilson needs to hammer these guys on their fuck ups.

MLB strikeout record is 1654 and the Mariners are at 1537 with 10 games left. That means they need to average 11.7 strikeouts a game to tie the record. Their pace so far after 152 games is 10.1 strikeouts per game.

They even fail at sucking and probably won't break that record. If they are going down anyway may as well have some fun with it. /shrug

A lot of them won't be here next season.
Polanco and Turner are pending free agents. They are gone.
Moore and Rojas are arbitration eligible which makes them no-tender candidates.
The Listless Mitches, Haniger, and Garver, have guaranteed contracts next year but could packaged with one of our solid young starting pitchers, as a digusied salary dump. Dipotot did this a couple times last winter so I expect more of the same this winter.
And Crawford could be gone. It would be foolish tom trade while his value is low, but in truth, it will never again be as high as it was coming off of last season. And, as I've said before, Crawford's best friend on the team is in Cincinnati now, so he may not oppose a trade much.

Yeah, I'm as happy as anybody that Robles has had a good less than half of a season, and he's been really good the past couple months. I don't buy that it means he can sustain it for a season, and it was nothing but pandering when they signed him to a 2 year extension after a month. He can be a theatrical prima donna bitch after he proves something. Same with Arozarena and that idiotic ab that was all over twitter last week. I don't care that it resulted in a homer. He's a nobody with a 30% strikeout rate. Fuck off. Perform. Then act like a clown.
Nailed it!

It's been a blast watching him and the team. Everybody really seems to love Vogt. He's one of the reasons I chose them as a team to watch back in July. I'm looking forward to the playoffs.

I always wanted him as a catcher on the Mariners. His wife being from Olympia area I believe. I know she was teaching and coaching up there years back. I would take my girls club basketball team up to that area for leagues and tournaments and probably crossed paths with her at some point. The one talented guy in this org and we let him get away.

  • Former Mariners farmhand and current Reds starter Brandon Williamson will undergo Tommy John surgery, likely taking him out of action until the 2026 season.
