6th blown save today! i am really nervous about depending on this guy as our future saver. he still shows me very little ... fastball no movement and predictable. i think we still need to find a closer outside the organization.

another crap performance today and yet he gets the save (i now understand how saves are a very over-rated stat). he comes in with a 3 run lead in the ninth, gives up a run on hit and 2 walks and gets the save.

he's a closer only because RV thinks he's a closer and gives him these easy opportunities any time he can. why he wants reed to look good is beyond me. it only gives the player (a weak player) more weapons to use at negotiation time ... literally a very stupid thing for management to do. a closer with a 3.55 ( last year 4.75 and lifetime over 4) era is NOT a good closer imo.
