Interesting. What think y'all X &O guys? Agree or disagree?

i think this is a fatal overreaction to a loss and the only team that would apply to is playing the giants maybe the panthers , but our defense should handle the bears and eagles

Disagree, you can't run zero coverage all the time. Skins did it earlier in the year and folks bitched about Barry doing that. One of our TDs in the game was on a blitz by the Cardinals. Had Kirk been able (he might have) and set his feet on that pick in could have been a TD. Someone saw it work for the Cardinals and now wants to try the same thing.

Mark breaks down on film what Garçon and DJax bring to the table...and his thoughts on who he would retain if you could bring back just one of them...

Excerpt

If I can only have one back, I personally am re-signing Jackson. He is still a very legitimate deep threat and that gives Washington something they don’t have without him. He does so much to open up space and give good match ups to the other receivers on the team, like Jamison Crowder and Jordan Reed. While Garcon is a reliable, trusted receiver for Cousins, Reed and Crowder are also both trusted receivers for Cousins and both are capable of reproducing the type of production Garcon brings. Even Vernon Davis has quickly built up a rapport with Cousins similar to the trust he has in Garcon. But what Jackson offers to the team is, in my opinion, irreplaceable.

There is a camp that doesn't agree about DJax. Clearly he is one of the best deep threats in the NFL. He shouldn't even be on the field in the red zone and he is not a great middle of the field receiver. Can't blame the guy, he only weighs about 5 lbs.

What are your thoughts? I'd like to see both back but if I had to go with one, I'd likely go DJax

I would go with Garcon. He does more things than DJax can do. Certainly Desean is a great deep threat but I would rather have Garcon if I could only pay one. Not at stupid money though. I see Reed and Crowder as the top two receivers. I would like to see VD come back and CT is always a good option.

As I said in another thread.... Jackson brings something that no one else on the roster can replace. The ability to take the top off a defense. You ever notice that when Jackson and Reed are on the field, we run him on a fly pattern and Reed ends up wide open?? Do the same thing with Ross and Reed, and Reed ends up double covered. IM a fan or Garcon, I love the way he plays. But if push came to shove, I think we can find another possession receiver. Replacing Jacksons role is harder, which is why he will cost more.

True, but you dont think the Browns would sooner tag him than let him hit the open market as he is really their only WR at this point??

But at least some one came up with a realistic option that could replace what Jackson give you.

+2 points for @skinsdad62

Yep Jackson adds a deep threat more than any other. He is no hope in red zone, an area everyone wants to do better than we are currently doing. His is not much of a blocker so you put him and Reed on the field and you have 7 blocking 11 if it is a run play. (minus QB and RB) also not much help on anything but an out.

Yeah he helps when he runs deep but that does not happen on every play and certainly is less than 50% of the plays.

If your defense stinks , weakening your offense to move up from sucks to marginal isnt to smart . Be patient , use the draft to build a defense : you have fuller and cravens improving TM is doing well and smith has potential . Add 3 young guys there and keep building
