I don't like that sacrifice because now you are relying on Heisey not to strike out and then Bruce to get a hit. I'd rather take my chances with Phillips and Votto swinging away.

Not when you have players that are more likely to strike out than put the ball in play. Youre honestly telling me you'd rather have Heisey and Bruce batting with the bases loaded than Phillips and Votto batting with men on 1st and 2nd.
