I forget what inning (maybe the 6th?), but he really showed great poise to get out of there. The ump was fucking him left and right with bad calls but he dug in and got the out. Let's hope it's a sign of good things to come.

This.

That umpire shrunk his zone immediately. He should have been out of the inning with the strike out. That breaking ball was beautiful.

Getting nine runs with Cain starting for the Giants was amazing.....of course Cain was pretty tough, but that reliever who replaced him in the seventh definitely brought along his gas can to throw on the fire.......

Another good night. Arroyo really battled, gave up 9 hits, but only 1 ER.

Hoover made a good MLB debut.

Chapman is just unfair. Guys should simply just skip their AB when he comes into the game. The only question is will the player K on a Fastball or a slider. Was really nice to see him throwing more sliders, and looked like maybe a change-up once.

Marshall is just as filthy, minus the Fastball. His slider goes from outside of the plate to a RHB, and then moves all the way across and down and in under the handle. Just filthy.

Stubbs...a hit and a walk. Continuing to look better and better at the plate over the last week. Hopefully, he keeps it up. Having Cozart, Stubbs in front of Votto and Phillips is a solid way to get good speed guys on base for the gap hitters behind them. Plus, a good way to see better pitches since no one wants to walk these guys with Votto up 3rd.

Baby steps.....Votto is coming on.....Bruce is on fire (for the moment, anyway).....the bullpen is doing great, especially since they're missing their closer and two setup guys from last year......

Same ole' Reds.... They can't buy a run for most of the series against Chicago - Now they hit three homeruns in two innings against the Pirates. Spread it out!!!

Ah, Stubbs will go right back into his slump I'm sure.....but Latos should be ok now that we're out of April.....Frazier needs to start at third now.....the bullpen has been awesome, 21 consecutive scoreless innings and counting.....

Dare I get hopeful? Another strong start from Arroyo, and the pen is at 23 1/3 scoreless innings and counting. Phillips hit the ball hard three times and Bruce is still hot. They haven't lost a series in awhile, and they are two over .500 now. Life is decent.
