How many wide receivers will make the team? Who are the locks and who will take the last few spots? Any thoughts?

Austin
Givens
Baily (in week 5)
Britt

I suspect that in Week 1, it will be: Britt as the #1, Pettis/Quick rotating as the possession guy, Givens as the deep target and Austin as the gadget player.

By Week 5, I suspect Britt will be hurt, Pettis will be the #1, Quick/Bailey rotating as the possession guy, Givens as the deep target and Austin as the gadget player

I think if Britt makes the team, the last slot goes to Pettis...If he doesn't, I think Pettis and Quick round out the receivers...This assumes they'll keep 6, which seems to be the norm for them...

I think something of note is that Bailey was Clemens' guy and Givens is Bradford's guy. Givens should be better next year and I dont think Bailey is 100% guaranteed a spot. If someone gets cut if/when they bring someone else in, it'll be Bailey even though I do think he has a lot of potential if he gets his act together. Honestly, I think they are sticking with the guys they have, though.

I just don't know if the Rams are ready to throw in the towel on Quick yet. As critical as I've been of him, it just irks me that we are going to waste such a high pick on this guy. What is this, his third year now? He has prototypical size and speed for a great WR in this league, but he just seems to lack the mental discipline/toughness. I just don't understand it. If you can't get motivated for the NFL what will motivate some of these guys?

I would expect the same roster of WRs as last year plus Britt (bouncing Veltung?). Moe could make the team at least through Bailey's suspension.

Sure would be good to have a stud WR to go with our "plenty of talent at the WR position".

Sure glad we upgraded our offensive weapons after such a good year last year on offense.

Zeke - I'm with you. For salary cap purposes:

Rams get - Andre Johnson and draft pick

Texans get - Kendall Langford and Brian Quick

Its not going to happen guys because Quick is Fisher's boy and he is not done with Quick yet. Langford is also liked by Fisher and they'll jettison Langford when the big bucks are due.Plus, Snisher is not in the business of signing aging vets unless its a QB back-up. They are into staying young and fast.

TJ Moe is a poor, disabled man's Amendola. If he makes the team, I won't buy any tickets this year. Unless they keep more than 6 WRs.
