Yet another brilliant move by Ozzie, it's no wonder he is the best in the NFL.

Or it could be viewed as a desperation signing realizing Ed Dickinson just isn't going to cut it at TE. Throw in the Stokley signing and my guess is they are not seeing enough out of the young receivers and realize they need some major help on the offensive side of the ball.

The fact that they need late help at TE and WR makes the boldin move more baffling to me. I know pitta hurts but I don't get letting boldin go without a plan in place.

Dickson has a hamstring injury, so yea we need another TE.

Boldin is overrated, and has a hard time getting open, he is slow and has to rely on catching Jump balls. SF fans are going to get a taste of the frustrations that come with having Boldin as a WR. I'm not upset Boldin is gone at all.

They just signed their 3rd down package over the weekend. They will be very important role players in the offense.

I know exactly what boldin is. He may not get wide open but if you give him the ball anyways he's still catching it. He doesn't need to get wide open.

I was about to start a thread asking if "Dallas Clark" has anything left in the tank.

2010: 37 catches 347 yards 3 TDS lost for the season on Oct 22
2011 34 catches 357 yards 2 TDS played in 11 games
2012 47 receptions for 435 yards and 4 touchdowns (Tampa Bay)

I think if Clark had *anything* left in the tank, he would already be under contract with the Denver Broncos for cheap money as an insurance policy.

Their plan was to replace 80% of his production for 20% of his cost. Their ability to sign Huff and Dumervil can be directly attributed to the cap savings with Boldin.

We shall see, if nothing else he'll draw attention from the defenses

He only does that if he can still play. Even then, I don't know that he draws more attention than anyone else there would.

i don't think finding a WR to catch 4 TD's the entire regular season is going to be hard to do.

They have Dreessen and Tamme. How many TEs do you need when your offense clearly is run through the WRs?

Without boldin you don't win the Super Bowl.

You can say that about a lot of players. Not sure what your point is.

Because he is minimizing what boldin did. He was your best receiver by a long shot, and he is acting like the guy's a scrub.
