If it's any consolation, most owners (like our guy Reinsdorf) expect a player of that $$$ to be trotted out there to play everyday.

It's almost like an unwritten rule/pressure put on a manager to find a spot in the lineup for those types.

Crazy, but true.

That's kind of like what happens in the NFL isn't it? "We gotta play the guy we drafted 1st, instead of the guy we got in the 4th because we're paying the 1st rounder so much. Besides, I'll look like a complete and total, incompetent idiot if the 1st rounder doesn't pay off."

But Prince has so struggled at times, and once on the bases he's damn near a "guaranteed out."

Looks like that was the Kitties' plan when they dealt him to yall.

I know it sux as a fan to have to put up with. Think how the GM & owner must feel.

Who knows ... still early, Price has some time to wake the hell up. I'm sure hoping alot of our guys do. Sooner, rather than later.

"You hear that, Abreu?"

I felt pretty optimistic after he won comeback player of the year last year. He says he feels fine which means he's just turned into a shitty hitter. I'm not sure which is worse, but his approach and swing is the worst I've ever seen it.

Well JD better find the rabbit in the hat trick

I think Choo will do us fine until maybe right at the very end. So far we've seen more bad than good from Prince on the whole and I'm nervous as shit.

Well, I don't think he's reached human enchilada status, yet .... ala Sandoval with Boston. Talk about hurrible. :dhd:

What on earth is Nicholas thinking? He swung at 2 pitches (high) well outta the zone, and the last one turned into a routine fly ball.

This is why you're a minor league player fella. Wake-the-hell-up and recognize you're not in high school anymore for crying out loud.

He was behind in the count and trying to protect the plate. He did fine. Pretty good at bat after falling behind 0-2.

He's a freaking stud and mature well beyond his years.

Does anyone on our 25 man roster right now have the plate discipline he does? Work the pitcher as well?

He's damn near amazing with this short sample size.

Choo is the only one I can think of.
