What a bummer. Appears the white sox didn't give anyone good the day off. I guess the banny rooster is the only manager who runs out pitiful line ups for the reason of " resting" guys the first month into the season.

First, this isn't a pitiful line up. Second, we're one of few, if not the only team which started the season with 14 straight games. Third, sometimes it isn't resting a starter as much as it is making sure the backups aren't sitting on the bench gathering dust for weeks on end.

Just like leading a horse to water isn't it.

I wasn't referring to the line up today as pitiful. However, I remember a game in Anaheim and a game in Seattle where the offense seemed totally neutered because several guys were resting at the same time. I don't mind seeing several guys resting at once. I'd like to see it happen later in the season and preferably not against division rivals.

Got a 1st inning run and Holland throws 11 pitches to get to the 2nd.

Now this is what I was hoping for.

Just like leading a horse to water isn't it.

It's the drinking part I can't seem to get across though.

But in fairness to him, you/me/us have all had our problems this season with more than a few of Banister's moves/lack thereof with the lineup.

My head is still reeling from the lack of Rua when he was crushing the ball. But I was tired of riding that dead horse and wanted/want to move on.

Is Lawrie considered to be an above avg 2nd baseman? He sure has looked terrific out there for days now.

There must be a "high sky" in Chicago today.

Beltre made a nice catch on that last one, and it was pretty obvious it wasn't an easy ball to pick up.

I know the White Sox, as a team, haven't wore the ball out this season. But Holland is on cruise control.

That's an 12 pitch inning, following a 11 pitch inning.

Colby throws that many in the first. ha ha........Lewis has become this years Gallardo for me. ha ha ha

Hung jury at the moment. :D

He is, however, one of the few in this anemic lineup not messing with Mr. Medoza ... so, there's that.

I was really asking about his defense. Man, he's made some truly terrific plays over the past few days.

Honestly, I've been pretty impressed.

I agree with that, but it's still kinda early to tell for me to reach a true 'verdict' on the guy.

I was a Gordon Beckham/Alexi Ramirez fan of that up-the-middle tandem on D ... not so much at the dish, though.

Again, still assessing our new middle ... Rollins/Lawrie. Not too shabby, so far.

This will be a good test, today, to see if Latos' success is an aberration.

First really good lineup he's had to face this year.

10-4....I got ya.

I just looked up his stats and in his 4+ seasons he's a .260ish type hitter. So if he can play D like this, you're gonna love him before the AS break. ha

But he's played with both the Jays and A's so as-far-as we're concerned, screw him!
