Bacsik on "the fan" said he wouldn't be surprised if Wash was fired. He said at the ASB he could see it happening. I don't think that will happen, but nobody from JD to Wash to Magadan should be getting a pass. Somebody has to be held accountable. There's still a lot of talent out there. They should be winning more than 3 out of 20.

I agree with the talent part. Look, we all know this season has been doomed from the start with all of the injuries and fluke occurrences. Even the Rangers' beloved beat writer died suddenly and unexpectedly this season. There has just been a crazy dark cloud following this team since Derek Holland "tripped over his dog". I don't think anyone is faulting this team for being out of the playoff picture with their patchwork lineup and mega-sized DL. But this team still has Darvish, Andrus, Beltre, Rios, Choo, Soria, and an unexpected better-than-average catcher in Chirinos. That is too much talent to have the worst record in all of baseball. That is too much talent to be getting swept by Houston. That is too much talent to play such poor quality baseball and get blown out in embarrassing fashion on most nights. They've checked out and aren't acting like true professionals. That's both their faults and Wash's for not keeping them focused. Blame all around is deserved.

1 out away from being World Champs to the last place team in baseball in just 2 1/2 seasons. I guess if you're gonna stink, you might as well stink worse than everyone and get that #1 pick. Hooray!

Has Carmelo made up his mind yet? I hadn't been paying much attention..

IMO, the Mavs don't want him, if they're even still interested in him.he's a scorer but not a winner...it's just my opinion...
Not leaving New York from what I heard

Rios looked very disinterested in extending the game. Another bad night w/ RISP for this team. 28 runs given up in 3 games at home to the Astros.

Man, I don't know how you guys keep these game threads so active. I give you guys credit for posting so much and just being die hards. This was another ugly loss. If anyone is to get traded I hope that it's Rios im just not a fan of his at all dating back to his days with Toronto. He could probably net us one solid prospect and another prospect.

As for Wash being fired I'll believe it when I see it. Who would replace him, maddux?

We got Rios for Leury Garcia, think along those lines, maybe slightly more

If it was past the trad deadline I might. Different situation this year, but really wouldn't argue with depth.

Looks like Smolinski had a good night, just saw the first hit he had and the nice running catch he made early before I headed out for my ball game tonight. The box score shows he had another couple hits, obviously can't tell from that what type of hits they were but hope he does well. Guess he was a bright spot tonight?

Maybe that ball to the head will make Yu forget tonight ever happened. This season is stuck in the doldrums.

I think truth be told, we got nothing that will net us anymore than some prospects that could add depth for down the road. Unless we moved AB, Darvish or maybe even EA might bring us possible MLB ready prospects or a couple MLB ready players. Soria and Rios aren't gonna deliver much return that will impact this team soon. Unless there is a team that would give up a Chris Davis/Tommy Hunter type package and we all know that's not a likely possibility because most teams don't make those type moves.

Possibly that ball to the head caused him to misremember how he's pitched against the Astros, though like I said I didn't watch enough to see how he pitched and whether or not they just hit good pitches. I did see Corporan hit a good pitch early and almost drove it out to right.

Might be one of the worst post all star teams the Rangers have had in many many years

ASB cant get here fast enough. Maybe a "break" from baseball will get the team back to playing .500 ball.... though I'm not counting on it.

We are the team that everyone looks forward to playing. When fans look at the schedule they will see us and say here is the easiest part of the schedule.

I've quit posting bc I don't feel the need to deal with all the fair weather fans that are coming out in droves, no need to stress myself out with it

It's amazing how some posters only show up in large amounts when there's stuff to complain about but STFU when things are good or even then find a way to whine incessantly
