I agree. And the former Ranger he reminds me of is Colby Lewis. Not a perfect comparison, mind you. But he just seems to have that bulldog mentality with really good but not elite stuff. He’ll likely never strike out 13 guys in a game, but he’ll give you 5-6 K’s with low runs allowed and pitch deep enough into the game to save the bullpen. Plus it would appear as though postseason pressure suits him just fine.
