I knew you would disagree but if it teaches the young guys to win even though they may. Not deserve to be there or even have zero chance to me it is good IF IF IF they make it a learning experience

Which i originally thought this year would be anyway despite the deserved angst
I really like our guys getting postseason experience in the minors. This will be another year where that is the case.

Yes, thar would be very unrealistic. However, we haven't even been so-so prior to this year, in awhile.
And we improved and became relevant. And we may or may not make the playoffs but we have improved and with the right moves during the offseason we should get better in 2024

2010 was definitely a learning experience that benefited them the next year. Unfortunately, I can't remember a season where losing badly, early in the playoffs, benefited us later.
Ok thanks

I am looking forward to hearing how Eovaldi's bullpen session goes today.

I can understand that but after those 1st 3 or so games he just hasn't made any significant strides to warrant that. But I do want to see what he can do over an extended period of time.

When he goes 0-4 Bochy sits him. He recently went a week in between starts and then hit a HR. The next game he goes 0-4 and now is sat again. That makes it hard to get into any kind of rhythm or groove. Other guys get to have bad games over and over and over and over again without being sat more than a game at a time every once in awhile.

I am not fretting over JPM or Leody. Neither looks like a long term solution as a starter but JPM looks a little more versatile so maybe we move him in the off-season if they want to move up the time table
Our OF just has not gotten it done offensively in the 2nd half

Leody has has far more time and is doing nothing.

BREAKING: The Los Angeles Angels have placed starter Lucas Giolito, relievers Matt Moore and Reynaldo López, and outfielders Hunter Renfroe and Randal Grichuk on waivers, sources tell ESPN. Huge potential playoff implications: All can be claimed by teams for free on Thursday.

Has Matt Moore had a decent year? If so go get him.

I could see us going after a FA outfielder this offseason and maybe opening the season with Martinez, FA and Garcia but things can and will change

If our front office still has any hopes of making the playoffs, they need to be looking into all of those guys except for Giolito. Either Renfroe or Grichuk would improve our lineup, and either of those relievers would boost our bullpen.
