I think they have so much to do, that improving on Duran's production, in that case I gave, would rank very far down the list. In fact, I don't see why they would even want to if that does happen.

I said you may right but I also think that they might consider bring up Carter and/or Crim and/or Harris or they might consider bring in Bellinger or some other OF FA.

On opening day I will guarantee that Duran will be on the 26-man but where or if he will be in starting 9 will not be answered until then

Crim would not be in competition with Duran. Carter would take Leody 's spot. Harris is way behind Duran at this point.

Bellinger is probably better, but would cost at least $17-18 million more than Duran. That money would be better spent in the bullpen. Increases in payroll will be much tighter from here on out.

They will spend on the bullpen and probably on the outfield. Didn’t say they were better just that they may on the 26 just Martinez may be on the 26

For some reason I don't see that with Crim just like I was one of the few last year who thought many others overrated him. But I was pulling for Smith since I liked the guy personally.

Again just throwing out possibilities. Crim has been hitting and they could consider him as a DH plus he has played 1B and 3B. Same with Harris. One or the other could be on the bench next year.
