The Rangers get cash for Hearn. No, not Norm Cash.

Not to many starting pitchers on the market who have had a good season and are not trending down lately.

Things could certainly change. Not really high on Snell, personally.
Just listing what Rangers are rumored to be interested in. Personally I would go after Lange and Finnegan

With baseball looking towards the 2024 HOF class, there's been a discussion this morning on Reddit about who's getting in.

Apparently there are some people out there who don't realize how great Beltre was, so I posted these stats:

Beltre's rank all-time among 3B:

Games played: 1st

Runs scored: 4th

Hits: 2nd

Doubles: 2nd

HR: 3rd

RBI: 1st

dWAR: 2nd

WAR: 3rd

JAWS: 4th

I'm happy knowing that the shithead fan who ruined my game on Saturday was there for Sunday's game too.
I will never understand the need for trash talking, either on the field or in the stands. I have probably been to at least a couple hundred big league games in my life and have never felt compelled to do that.

About the only thing close to me doing that, was at a Cowboys Redskins game back in the 80s when we all sang Happy Birthday to Joe Theismann, when the Cowboys were up 44-14.

The crowd was easily 60% LA fans, and the game was well in-hand for them. He wasn't even talking trash to anyone, he just wanted to hear the sound of his own voice, I guess. And he was an idiot, who thought every fly ball was a homerun, and every foul ball was coming directly at us.

edit: he was talking trash, it was just in general, directed at no one in particular.

Yeah, that is how the guy sitting behind me was when I went to see the Rangers play at Camden Yards. He had something negative to say about several Ranger players. He was informed though, I have to give him that much. He knew some background information about some of our players that many casual Rangers fans wouldn't know. When we got up to leave he was at least gracious in losing, but he was talking trash the whole game, probably for our benefit.

From Scott Lucas:

Antoine Kelly has quietly produced some fine numbers lately including surprisingly good control. Kelly had four appearances with two or more walks in his first eight games. Since then, none. In his last 22 outings, Kelly has walked or hit eight in 24.1 innings while fanning 34, and opponents are hitting .189/.253/.300. When Texas acquired him for reliever Matt Bush last summer, the safe assumption was that 40-man protection was forthcoming. His already iffy control then deteriorated so badly that he was ignored both by the Rangers and opponents in the Rule 5 draft.

24-year-old Cuban Bryan Chi made his full-season debut. He, Hickory OF Geisel Cepeda, and ten others fled the Cuban Under-23 team during a tournament in Mexico late in 2021. As a Ranger, Chi's control has improved considerably since his mostly teen-aged years in Cuba. He walked just three in 18 rookie-level innings, striking out 23
