I guarantee we are losing the next 2 and most likely by blow outs. So we'll be tied for first with Houston heading to San Diego. Obviously we need help in the bullpen since we have one of the worst pens in baseball. But we also have a below average starting rotation. Just not worth it to trade assets this week for a team that is miles away pitching wise.

I mean seriously folks. Ranger pitching staff is pretty awful at this point. Like bottom 5 in all of baseball awful. Time to be realistic.

Kinda hard to do that without a redraft every year isn't it.

Seems as if some want a redraft after every game depending on who didn't amaze them that night...

Yeah, in reality you make your bed in the offseason, so you had better do it right.

I’m guessing they thought the bullpen was going to be better than it has been and that the offense wasn’t going to be as good as it has been…
Then their guessing is very suspect and had better improve or else those guessing had better move on to other pursuits.

The offense being better has nothing to do with getting the bullpen ready. If they thought the offense wasn't going to be as good, then they should have improved there as well. The offense being better is the excuse of the year it seems, and is the most flimsy I have come across in some time.

They simply blew it with the bullpen in the offseason and many on here knew it, so they had to know it, or should have. Anyone paying attention to our bullpen last year knew it needed vast improvements.

I can photoshop you a certificate of achievement if that'll help. I'm guessing the reason you are still mentioning this 4 months into the season is because you haven't been properly acknowledged?

You can make yourself a certificate if you want to.

So if I say "many" on here knew it, that means I am pointing to myself? Put yiour pom poms up so you can think clearly. Who comes up with a conclusion like that?

Because you beat the dead horse again and again

There were some allocation of resources so to increase the bullpen likely decreases elsewhere

In retrospect not paying DeGrom would have freed up money but maybe others would not have signed or be motivated. Hard to say

Still to go from basement feeder to current 1st place is good reason to use the Pom Poms.
Everyone here wants a World Series and is pretty much hardcore. Maybe we can enjoy the ride vs pinpointing obvious imperfections

Carry on

you said "they blew it with the bullpen."

that's you sharing your own opinion, yes? and that's far from the first time you've shared that opinion, yes?

just wondering why you continue to beat that drum. you're right. we all know you're right. no one here is saying you're wrong.

THE FRONT OFFICE MADE A MISTAKE BY NOT BOLSTERING THE BULLPEN.

CAN WE PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST JUST ACCEPT THAT AS FACT AND MOVE ON???

Mentioning it OVER AND OVER AND OVER contributes nothing. so, the only logical goddamn conclusion at this point is that you keep bringing it up because you feel you haven't been properly acknowledged for your insight. so yes, they made a mistake. you nailed it on the head! you're smarter than the entire front office! CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Now please get the fuck over the bullpen mistake and move on to Sam Huff or whatever other bullshit you know more about than any of the rest of us.

You should just shut up if you are that offended. You are making yourself look childish. You are better than this.

Odor is a dead horse. He is not affecting us any longer and I don't know of any lingering effect him being here too long, is having now. Ron Washington not handling a bullpen correctly is over and, therefore, is a dead horse. The John Danks deal is a dead horse, because it has no affect on us any longer.

The bullpen issue is far from a dead horse. The "beating," if you can call it that, is just way too much for some who are overly sensitive to criticisms of the front office. No one here is related to anyone in the front office, but at times they act like they are.

The way the overall pitching staff, especially the bullpen, was handled is having long lasting and far-reaching effects. I am sorry if that offends some who are hyper-sensitive about FO criticisms, or who think they have the right to direct what can be mentioned here, but that is just too bad. There are some takes and some criticisms on here that I really get tired of, but you know what, I am not the king of the mountain so I am not going to try to bully them into being ashamed to make those comments or have those opinions.

There is going to be a whole lot of pinpointing of obvious imperfections on this board. There always has been and there always will be. Follow along during games and you will see it all the time. That is part of what this board is all about, but thankfully, due to the direction of the team, it has become a much smaller part. It is always going to be there though, so get used to it.

This is not a new article, but the info is a great resource to use when thinking about trades.

If the Mets decide to sell, I would be interested in David Robertson.
