2:50pm: The Rangers have agreed to a deal with the Brewers to land star catcher Jonathan Lucroy, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports (via Twitter). There’s a reliever going in the deal, too, with top prospects Lewis Brinson and Luis Ortizheaded to Milwaukee, per MLB.com’s T.R. Sullivan (via Twitter).

Mendez, Ragans, Jurado, Martin, Speas & Sadzeck would be the best 5 left, they're all in the top 20 for us, Ragans & Speas is a recent draft pick

I have a feeling Brinson is gonna be really good, so still stings but maybe a little less than Gallo but who knows, he could end up better.

Wonder what this means for the possibility of resigning Desmond, many thought Brinson would step in next season.

Would have preferred losing Gallo over Brinson but gotta give up some to get something especially when you're in win now mode.

I hated losing Brinson but I feel Cordell is just a step behind him in CF, makes it tolerable

Luis Ortiz stings but that's probably the cost of that option year

Brinson has gone backwards big time this season. As of right now, he wasn't even a consideration for Arlington next season.

I guess the impatience with Gallo doesn't extend to the front office. I am glad about that.

I think unless we win the WS that we will regret the Lucroy trade though.
