I am waiting to see what the trade will be. I was not a big fan of trading for a Garza who will most likely only be with us for just over 2 months and possibly the postseason too. Hope we are not sending more than 3 players for just 2 months of Garza and nothing/no one else.

Knowing the Ranger "luck" we send a bunch of prospects and then 5 years from now those prospects beat us in the WS

If we give up prospects we can do much better. I never said Murph doesn't need to be replaced, but it shouldn't be Sherholtz. Just out of curiosity, if Schierholtz is not your choice, who would you like to see JD pursue?

I think we need a #2 hitter who is efficient and can get on base, so I would trade for Aoki who is cheap and signed through 2014. He is very good on the pads too.

its not that fast. Its 90-92 right now and he has touched 96. They think that when he fills out he'll eventually be 93-95 though

During his last start against Hagerstown his primary fastball was at 92- 93 with very good movement. He did hit 95-96 on atleast 12 pitches. He is also developing a very good change-up. This kids stock was rising last year after his stint in Spokane.

Edwards FB doesn't touch the mid 90's, maybe he can, but not in a game. Jackson on the other hand throws around 97 with good movement. He is more raw though. Edwards is closer to being ready I think.

Like I said, bring me the numbers. Again I don't care what Murphy has done in his career. Schierholtz would be an upgrade over Murphy. Period. There's no question.
