TUESDAY: Berkman told MLB.com's T.R. Sullivan that he needs to make a decision on his future soon. Berkman is taking batting practice today and tomorrow but recognizes that if he can't be headed toward a rehab assignment soon, he may have to call it a season. Jeff Wilson of the Fort-Worth Star Telegram also spoke with Berkman, who told him that he jogged a short while ago and it was "not good, to be honest."

It really doesn't matter. Just move him to the 60day DL ... that way he doesn't all of a sudden get better and show up in STL next week.

what is going to be key for us in order to get back into the playoff picture?....obviously our hitting is weak at this point and as things stand it doesnt look like we are going to be getting a significant bat on top of the fact that we might lose Cruz....so what needs to happen for us to contend?....there are a few key things that I see. !. We need consistent starting pitching, it has been good since the break and it needs to continue because our lineup as it is will not put up those crooked numbers like it has in the past. 2. I think our young guys are going to be a big factor, specifically Leonys and Profar. These guys are going to have to grow up fast in order to ignite a spark in this team. Andrus needs to step it back up as well, he has been better of late, but if he is going to hit at the top of the order he has got to get on base more. 3. We really need to hit better with RISP, it is just pathetic, I think we are ranked like 24 for average in that category. We cant possibly win games playing like that, we dont have that one guys this year that is taking the team on their back so it needs to be a team effort. I feel like we are still playing for the long ball and that will not work with our lineup. We need to get back to the basics and get efficient in situational hitting.

Agree 100% guys. There really are some good thoughts here ... and my eyes can't handle big paragraphs with no breaks.

What browser are you using? I used to use IE and moved to Chrome. Sometimes things work differently ... but regardless you should be able to edit for 5-10 minutes.

As you play with it a bit you can also attach certain kinds of files too which helps. You'll get used to it. More open architecture for topics than ESPN but some features more burdensome.

Wish he had a real game chat program ... but that takes a full time Mod I believe.
