Lucroy might help but Mitch is not a good bet with the bat. Somehow there are other guys that need to produce.

Why are Rua, Chirinos, and DDJ in the lineup? Did Banny just decide to forfeit this one and play for the other two? I would gladly take my chances with Mitch over Rua right now no matter which hand the pitcher throws with. Rua can't buy a hit and looks awful. And Chirinos is hitting a robust .118 against lefties. Is Lucroy tired already after catching 3 games in a row?

Rooster does it too often for my tastes. It seems like every other series, he trots a line up out there that is pretty weak. I don't see other managers do it nearly as much as him.

Should have put Profar at first. He has been better against lefties lately.

Um, look up Mitch's numbers over the last month vs. Rua's. It's a significant difference. I would take Mitch swinging blindfolded right now over Rua, and I'm not even a huge Mitch fan. That's how awful Rua has been.

We have a whopping 2 hits, both coming in the first inning. Nothing since.

Agree Will. My point is it won't matter if 1-5 hits zero. Yeah Rua sucks

Perez has an MO of every inning pitching really well but that 1 inning. I wouldn't kick him to the curb either.

When Olney said this team is now solid 1-9 I knew it was the kiss of death. Rangers have scored 8 runs in 3.5 games.

Our last series win other than KC was June 24-26 against the Red Sox. The series after that we went 2-2 against the Yankees.

Rua should not see the starting lineup again. What where you looking for Ryan.

This one is partially on Jeff Banister. Lucroy, Mazara, Profar, and Moreland all sitting on the bench makes zero sense. I don't care that Keuchel is a lefty. You can't sit that many guys who are much better hitters than the trash you put out there in the 6, 8, and 9 holes. I don't care if Nomar Mazara was batting .035 against lefties this year. I would still start him in a heartbeat over Ryan Rua because a 3.5% chance of getting a hit is better than a 0% chance.

Weak ground ball after weak ground ball. We've forgotten how to hit line drives.

I'm confused, was this a throw away game? They sure played like it.

When we traded for Lucroy the first thing I thought was that he could help Perez and then Banny sits him as soon as Perez pitches. It might not have made one iota of a difference, but it still seems like an odd decision.
