now that the draft is over, come on Rangers get serious
yes it couldThe Rangers draft could turn out to be very impressive.
CThe Rangers were 40-20 at one point. Since then they have went 12-19.
Some in the media have pointed to the one off day in the last 30 games as being a huge contributor. It could have been, but they went 2-6 to start that 30-game stretch. Will they improve significantly during the rest of this month.
They have 15 games left this month. How many of those do you expect them to win.
A - 4 or 5
B - 6 or 7
C - 8 or 9
D - 10 or more
I am going with "B."
I’m not ready to give him a spot yet. Let’s see what they do between now and the trade deadlineIf the Rangers move Bradford back to the pen, has he done enough to be penciled into the rotation for 2024?
I agreeI’m not ready to give him a spot yet. Let’s see what they do between now and the trade deadline
How many more good starts would change your mind, and could you change your mind based on his bullpen efforts alone, if he doesn't get any more starts?I’m not ready to give him a spot yet. Let’s see what they do between now and the trade deadline
It also depends on if the team makes any decent moves in a trade before the deadline for starting pitching. If they bring Lynn then yea I think they will move him to the starting rotation once they realize that Lynn is a waste. If they bring Stroman or someone else of quality and some relief pitching the best place for Bradford would be AAA.How many more good starts would change your mind and could you change your mind based on his bullpen efforts alone, if he doesn't get any more starts?
I would imagine Stroman would be gone at the end of the year though. It also depends on if the team makes any decent moves in a trade before the deadline for starting pitching. There is a 2024 Player option at $21000000 and Texas could always sweeten that deal and more. You could probably be right but Bradford will probably be the fallback plan if nothing else happens. Like him but don’t love him in the rotation yetI would imagine Stroman would be gone at the end of the year though.

I don’t know what the Rangers will do for 2024. I’m not sure what they going to do between now and the deadline so trying to figure out what they will do for 2024 is impossible to guess. Personally I would not just go for 1 quality starter now and that would affect 2024 drastically. If they waste a couple of prospects on Lynn then we will be left gasping to the finish line for 2023 and then have to reevaluate what we want in 2024. Do we want to compete or wait deGromSo your 2024 rotation would be
Eovaldi
Stroman
Dunning
Gray
You going free agent for the 5th spot?
