Especially considering how much better Perez seems to pitch at home. As of now you've got to think he's leading for the last rotation spot.

It is funny how fast that opinion has changed isn't it. Almost as fast as it did about Scheppers. Both look to have a chance of making significant impacts in the postseason.

I'd set it up so he pitches at home. That's just me. Pitcher for pitcher matchups be damned. Perez is a different pitcher at home.

Maybe lately he has become a different pitcher period. I think if I thought he couldn't pitch well on the road I would leave him out of the rotation in the ALDS if the best rotation set him up to pitch on the road

As far as giving Yu extra days off I am not sure how good of an idea that is. He has pitched 6 times this season on 4 days rest and has an ERA of 2.13 in those starts. In his other starts his ERA is 5.10.

Scheppers needs to work a bit on reducing his fly ball rate. He got a few quick outs but close to the warning track.

Hi Guys...pretty excited for October.
to this post....I think you throw this out the window. The bottom line remains location, location, location...hitting your intended spots. Colby shows this value when he's on. Cole & Yu both aren't doing that currently.

IMO, it's that simple along with working ahead in the count.

I thought that is why they changed things up last weekend though. Yes, it does need to be set up for the playoffs at some point, I just don't necessarily agree that Yu needs extra days to be more effective when that seems to have the opposite effect on him.

Looks like Banny is getting the "serious message". But will he cave in and somehow get DDJ Rua Hoying and the rest involved.?

Longterm I think he will he fine, but my comment was more directed to those who thought it would help Yu shortterm to pitch better. It wasn't really directed towards the organization's decision or towards how he would pitch in the postseason.
