News: MLB and the MLBPA have agreed to change the CBA so that teams losing TV revenue can receive luxury-tax dollars — up to $15 million per affected club.

After months of negotiation, the MLBPA thinks the change will help teams spend more on players.

Impact The left-hander has been sidelined by a lower-back strain and stress fracture in his rib since mid-April but has now been cleared for game action. Manager Bruce Bochy said in early July that Bradford was likely to rejoin the Rangers as a reliever, so he may not require as lengthy of a rehab assignment as a starting pitcher.

Bochy , like most managers, is a big stickler for seniority. Seniority comes before merit in decision making on most big league clubs, in most cases.

Left-hander Cody Bradford threw a bullpen session Saturday at Globe Life Field and will travel to Arizona on Sunday to continue his rehab from a stress fracture in his back.

Bradford doesn't expect to return until after the All-Star break even though he isn't expected to be stretched out as a starter. General manager Chris Young said Wednesday that Bradford will throw up to three innings while on rehab assignment and become a multi-innings relief option who could quickly transition to the rotation if needed.

That's true. We could use a difference maker in the lineup at the trade deadline.
Garcia is always going to hit in the 250's. We really need him to step up.

Randy Arozarena is available and is heating up batting .270 this month. Has 15 homers. The hope is he and Garcia would feed off each other and really step up both their games. Dodgers want him too.
Foscue will be a good hitter but doesn’t have the experience right now. Grossman from the right side is hitting .270 but no power.

It’s not always pretty with this offense so when they have a power surge I hang on to some hope that the offense will get it going on a consistent basis
