No More "Bullpen Failure" - maybe
Yes, anyone in front of us would have been a huge difference compared to Tate.Rodgers or Swanson would have been good too

I think they are ignoring that. Next year when he struggles they won't know why.I keep wondering about M Minors innings count. Is it not time to shut him down?
I have always wondered what are you buying yourself putting in guys hitting .071 (now .118) and .188 just because they are RH. I don't think it mattered and if it was to rest guys then so be it. But if that is a strategy and one we have use many times the past number of years I am not that crazy about it.I'm sorry but a pitcher has to look at our lineup especially when we put the likes of Alberto, Rua, DeShields & Chirinos in it and think I'm doomed and the opposing pitchers think easy win
In this case, these guys probably won't be returning and are being given a last chance to make the 40 man roster. Why not? We have nothing to lose since we're in last place in a rebuild year. I don't think you would see these guys less Chirnos in a contending year. I believe in winning a game no matter who is in the line up but it is hard to do with these guys who are playing as a courtesy with little chance of returning.I have always wondered what are you buying yourself putting in guys hitting .071 (now .118) and .188 just because they are RH. I hope it was to rest some guys. We already know what these guys are going to do and playing them a couple of games to end the year will not change that.In this case, these guys probably won't be returning and are being given a last chance to make the 40 man roster. Tough luck for 2019 and we're not even there yet
Agree and let the guys play when nothing is at stake.Gallo is injured Beltran DH. Choi and Odor playing daily. Snell was a tough tough LHP. Gave RHBs a chance including Rua, DDJ and Alberto IKF. Guzman sat. No big deal. No one is going anywhere Protect your assets
I can agree with what you are saying. But we have done this even when we were in the heat of the race. Not just last night. In essence what I was trying to say is when we do that and that is our philosophy, which it has been, then I have a hard time with it. For the purposes you stated I agree.Gallo is injured Beltran DH. Forgot we were playing a day game until I saw this. Kind of how I felt being at the game last night. What a long drawn out affair that was. Glad for Snell though. For the record I no longer wish I was able to watch this game.
