Neither team seems to want to win this game.

It is time for Seager to hit a HR.

Langford can really adjust to a pitch in mid flight. Great job of hitting there.
I am really looking forward to him playing with a year of experience under his belt next year. If we can keep him, Jung, and Carter healthy all year that would be fantastic.

I know Bochy would never give Huff any playing time, and I realize the Rangers will .most likely never call Blaine Crim up. I would, however, like to see Justin Foscue brought up and allowed to start 4 or 5 days a week. Let's see a glimpse of what he might be so we know what we have, going into the iffseason.

I think Crim gets taken in the Rule 5 draft.

I think we trade Huff in the offseason for very little in return.

I think both Crim and Huff will do fairly well elsewhere, eventually.

From The Frisco Roughriders:

Kumar Rocker's final line:

4.2 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 8 K

*his ERA now sits at 0.47 (1 ER in 19.2 IP)
From Zach Bigley:

5 AA GS: 19.2 IP, 9 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 29 K

He sat 97-99, touching 100 multiple times. That’s not even his best pitch.

He is the most dominant pitcher I have ever seen in the minors.

From Tepid:

Dustin Harris was just pulled from the Round Rock game and I’m not sure why. Also, I’m not watching the big league team much so I don’t punch my couch cushions. Did an outfielder get hurt today or something?

Leiter gives up a solo HR in the 6th. After allowing a double he would have been out of the inning but SS Jax Biggers had a throwing error with 2 out to keep the inning alive. Leiter was taken out after that so he ends up with 5.2 innings with 1 earned run allowed on 4 hits, 1 walk, and 9 strikeouts.

From Tepid:

Jack had a super long layoff during an inning in which Round Rock batted around (plus), and hung a SL to Marisnick that went over the fence. Gave up a rope to Willie Calhoun too, but got Cole Tucker here with 96, 79, 96, 98.

His last batter should’ve been the final out of the night, but sometimes the difference between AAA and MLB is the routing ones.

From Scott Lucas:

Jack Leiter 5.2 IP, 4 H (1 HR), 2 R, 1 BB, 9 SO. 75 pitches, 55 strikes, 14 misses. 19% SS, 35% whiff. No pure 100s but 3 that would round up and avg was 97.8. Split the misses evenly between FB and SL. Nothing hard-hit or even close thru 4, just 2 of 12 total.

Leiter will have a phenomenal chance at making the starting rotation out of camp next year, IMO.
Rocker looks like an absolute beast, and should start next year in AAA with a legitimate shot at making the rotation at some point next year.
Like you, I don't want to rush him. Let him develop, but it might not take him very long at this rate, haha.

From Scott Lucas:

Kumar Rocker 4.2 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 8 SO. 72 pitches, 47 strikes, 16 misses. 22% SS rate, 44% whiff. 11 misses with breaker(s) out of 14 swings. That's pretty good.

A couple of changes, best as I can tell, for a call and a foul. FB 97-100, at least 4 triple digits.

I think having Holland and Feliz in the upper levels at the same time was the only time I can remember feeling this good about two pitching prospects in the upper levels.

Future Ace.
Rocker one night. Bradford the next night. And then Leiter the third night. Then we will let Teodo take care of the 4th night. DeGrom can hold the fort until Rosario catches up to them.
