Jared Sandler mentioned today that Aroldis Chapman was pitching last year while he was hurt. Does that mean no one in our local media knew about that?

Would not be surprised if not and even so still specific injury is undisclosed

I have always been amazed at how much difference there is in how the Cowboys are covered by our local media than in how those same outlets cover the Rangers.

Right-hander Jacob deGrom (Tommy John surgery) said that he is headed to Double A Frisco on Friday for the first of four scheduled starts on a rehab assignment that should be completed by mid-September.

He is scheduled to throw two innings or 30 pitches, whichever comes first, and then build by an inning and 15 pitches in the ensuing starts. The Rangers have a six-game road trip to Arizona and Seattle from Sept. 10-15, and that could be when deGrom makes his 2024 Rangers debut.

Bochy said that Max Scherzer (shoulder fatigue) will pitch Friday for Frisco, and the three-time Cy Young winner should be good to rejoin the rotation after only one rehab outing. Jon Gray (groin) could be activated as soon as today, Bochy said.

Left-hander Jake Latz (forearm), who allowed five runs Sunday in a rehab appearance for Frisco, will make at least one more start before coming off the IL.

Maybe the Rangers are more in a vacuum

The stories come out due to national media I am thinking for the Cowboys

Guess they can keep things in house for Rangers or they kick you out of the club if you don’t play ball their way. That’s the cynic in me

They are saying Dunning was removed from the game due to a drop in both velocity and spin rate.

It looks like that Sunday game for Frisco is going to have Kohl Drake as the starting pitcher. He has been promoted to Frisco.

Tyler Mahle is going on the IL with shoulder stiffness. Just a precaution since he is coming off of Tommy John.

Jon Gray is going to be activated and while he isn’t going to be a full-time reliever, he is available out of the bullpen tonight if needed.

RHP Luis Ramirez (currenlty with High-A Hickory) was involved in a single-vehicle accident on a wet road while driving to the ballpark on Monday.

He suffered several injuries in the accident and is currently in stable condition.

Yikes, that's awful. May God's grace and mercy be with him! Praise God he's alive. Driving on wet roads can be really dangerous.
