The Rangers need to take at least 2 of these games as the schedule gets tougher after this series.

Lorenzen pitches tonight and TBD is listed for each of the next 2 games. Most likely, it will be Eovaldi and Gray.

Gray will be back very soon. Sborz is probably not to far away. Scherzer could be a couple of weeks away or a couple of months away, who knows. Bradford is throwing on flat ground, so he may not be back before the break. Mahle may be back about the time Bradford is back, or maybe even a little earlier.

Foscue is in Arizona rehabbing with the ACL- Rangers team. He could be back in a couple of weeks, if not sooner. Seager is day to day unless Bochy is way off on his prognosis, yet again. Jung could be back at the end of the month. Carter most likely is out until sometime around the break, give or take a week or so.

They had better learn how to hit. It wouldn't hurt for them to learn how to keep pitchers healthy as well.

Well here we are...struggling to play .500 baseball. Can't hit for some reason. Starting pitchers can't stay healthy. And the bullpen never got fixed and stinks. But alas! We are the current World Series champions and I vowed to sit back and simply watch this season unfold with no expectations.
Sure its been rocky. Garcia is horrendous. Leiter looking more and more like a bust. Probably time to see about long term replacement for Lowe. Langford not Superman...yet.
But lot of season left. Get Bradford back. Get Jung and Carter healthy. Throw in deGrom and maybe even Scherzer or Mahle? You never know.
This weekend was a big inflection point last season...in the wrong direction. Maybe we turn that around this time.
Either way, repeating as Champs in baseball is tough, really tough.
Hopefully we start scoring some runs while the SP is still good...not something I expected to say about this team!

Here is an incredible baseball story that I had never heard of before.

"On August 17, 1957, Philadelphia Phillies star outfielder Richie Ashburn hit the same fan twice with foul balls in the same at-bat."

"Playing against the New York Giants at Connie Mack Stadium, the first foul ball broke the women's nose. After a brief delay for medical staff to attend to the lady, Ashburn lined the next pitch foul hitting the women as she was being carried off on a stretcher. That ball broke a bone in her leg."

"The woman's name was Alice Roth. She was he wife of Philadelphia Bulletin sports editor Earl Roth."

I want Foscue back. He looked like he’s going to be a good hitter. DFA Grossman.

From Evan Grant:

Corey Seager is on the field doing some stretching and lunges which would appear to be optimistic indication he could avoid IL

Also from Evan:

Max Scherzer optimistic he could make rehab start, potentially as early as Sunday. He threw another bullpen on the off day and recovered well

From John Moore:

Seager was stretching and running before anyone got out here.
I’m sure as @JeffWilsonTXR said in our show today, they are giving him a day or two to be sure. Bochy hasn’t come out yet, but we are all waiting.

From Stefan Stevenson:

Bochy says Seager may need several days. Derek Hill DFA'd. Wendzel recalled for infield coverage.
Seager not an option off bench tonight.
