I think we all pretty much felt that Chris Young was brought here with the idea that this would be his team at some point.
We've arrived at that point.
Well there you go. The MILB system which was his forte on the frontside was his undoing.
Chris Young has the makings of a great GM. Would love to see Nolan brought back in some kind of advisor role and I think they should hire Bochy to manage the team.
we had to tank to get there but thinking more of the player development side.Don't we currently have a really good system? Why would that be his undoing?
and his last hit is against the Rangers and a homerun
And, that is exactly what should have been done. Call it tanking or call it tearing down so you can rebuild, or call it whatever you want. It was needed. In fact, I thought it should have been done after the 2013 season.we had to tank to get there
Tank is a hyperbole. Just saying our high rank farm has not profited from player development. And, that is exactly what should have been done. Re Nolan
He can push his hot dogs
think he knew that it was overTank is a hyperbole. Just saying our high rank farm has not profited from player development.
Made some shrewd trades and picks recently
That is to JD credit. The development not so much
JD looked whipped in his last interview
To me, his biggest mistake will always be hanging on to Wash way too long. When Wash blew Game 6 both Wash and JD should have been shown the door.we had to tank to get there but thinking more of the player development side.
The lack of pitching progress is a huge disappointment and the past deload.
We made recent great picks but it is a cumulative effect IMO
I wonder if he knew what was coming.JD looked whipped in his last interview
I like Nolan but people overestimate himNo love for Nolan, lol.
This teams pitching and playoff record sure was a lot better when he was here. Stros seemed to get better after acquiring him as well.
He's 75 now though, he's probably done with any serious front office work. Not even sure how big his role was with the Stros. Not much denying how much he turned our pitching around during our WS run hay day.
Unless him and ownership had a rift but I doubt this. JD looks like he needed a break from this orgI wonder if he knew what was coming.
