Sir Robin Of Camelot
You seem angry. Miserable, even.
Kinda thought “shitty bullpen” had been etched in stone. Of course, a game like this one is one where descriptions just don’t provide any use.A team losing their identity

Some are still performing around the same. Seager hasn’t dropped off much. Lowe and Garver have been solid. Heaney has maintained the same sort of uneven 5th starter performances he’s shown all year- no better, no worse. And Scherzer has been mostly excellent. The entire team has hit the wall.
It’s sad to say, but it sure does look like they have quit. And if you look at it purely from a games remaining standpoint, especially considering they have multiple games left with Seattle, it’s ridiculous to think they would just quit like this. Mathematically speaking, they are very much in the playoff race. But realistically speaking, they know their bullpen will never allow success.I was refering tonight. Would not have made any difference. But Eovaldi should not have started. Team has quit.
More than those two or we would not have fallen off this badly. Some are still performing around the same. Seager hasn’t dropped off much. Lowe and Garver have been solid. But Adolis and Dunning are the two guys who were performing like elite all-stars once upon a time who have both fallen totally off the cliff.
I really think it is a mental block for what ever the reason. It’s sad to say, but it sure does look like they have quit. But I think the bullpen has completely crushed their spirits, especially the hitters. They’ve got to be thinking “why even bother trying to score runs when we can never score enough to make up for our historically awful bullpen?” Every game they do play well, the bullpen just blows it anyway.
Just saying those two have fallen the farthest. Adolis has been their worst hitter not named Josh Smith, and Dunning has been their worst starting pitcher. That’s quite the fall from grace for both. The other players who aren’t playing well either weren’t playing well to begin with (bullpen) or weren’t playing like All-Stars (Duran, Taveras, Jankowski).More than those two or we would not have fallen off this badly.
Yes I agree. One or two can't carry a team. Much to do.Just saying those two have fallen the farthest. Adolis has been their worst hitter not named Josh Smith, and Dunning has been their worst starting pitcher. That’s quite the fall from grace for both. The other players who aren’t playing well either weren’t playing well to begin with (bullpen) or weren’t playing like All-Stars (Duran, Taveras, Jankowski).
