No More "Bullpen Failure"
I really like that. They knocked it out of the park... so to speak.

He only played half of May and half of June. He had a 6 game slump just prior to the injury and slumped for 6 games when he came back. Each of those 6 game stretches did his numbers in for those months. He did well in April and the first week of so in May and has done well since that second 6 game slump.Bellinger had no home runs in May and June and batted .226 and .250 and has been reported to have a hole in his bat and changes his batting stance 5 times a season. He’s raking in July but what happens in August and September?
Hard pass.
If they trade for him he has to agree to accept the mutual option for 2024 or no dealHe only played half of May and half of June. He will not say "no." I say that because outside of a no trade clause, no one ever refuses to go somewhere, unless they are ready to retire. No but he could just say no. I don’t think the Angels want the negative press if they try to force a trade to another team he doesn’t want to go to. He is the unicorn
He could go back and play in Japan. Don’t think he will but with his status right now I still think Moreno will work with him. They still are think about the future and maybe resigning him this offseason and won’t want to piss him offHe will not say "no." If the Rangers decided to be as adamant about that as you are they could solve that problem with a PTBNL as part of the deal. They could designate 2 different players where the Cubs get one player if Bellinger leaves at the end of the year, or a better player if he stays. Although, I think the Rangers would just as soon use him for the rest of the year and then address the lineup in the offseason with a longer term solution. If they trade for him he has to agree to accept the mutual option for 2024 or no deal
Very possible but it would probably have to be 1 package for the rental and a different package if he stays for 2024. Truth. Don’t relish giving up a bunch to get 2 months. Rather wait until free agency and make a very good offer and see. We give up nothing with that scenarioI'm guessing Ohtani and Moreno both know he's not coming back to the Angels. The Angels are going nowhere and Ohtani wants to win.
Ohtani is a safe bet to sign the biggest contract in baseball history this offseason. He isn't going back to Japan to spite Moreno for trading him. Both of these guys understand it's a business, and Moreno needs to worry about getting the biggest return he can for Ohtani.
Yes, the PTBNL would be part of a package, most likely.Very possible but it would probably have to be 1 package for the rental and a different package if he stays for 2024. Don’t think 1 player either way would get him
