That will give the Reds a pretty decent starting 5 with Tyler Mahle going to the pen. Probably won't do them much good this year they're 6.5 games out with 7 teams to jump over, but will really help them out next year. May have to go to a game or two after callups to see what all they have going forward. Even though they have a lot of OFers I still imagine they will look for another big bat during the off season to put out there for next year.

I don't think they really want to trade him and have asked too much for that very reason. They really don't want to appear to be rebuilding.

In a couple of hours the best offer for Minor will make up the top of his market value. It is what it is. JD has to deal in the realities of the market in order to get things done

When it comes time to geta FAs they will have to adjust to that market as well. You either adjust or get left out.
