If that is the case, then maybe he isn't worth extending unless we take a Colby Lewis approach and extend him a year at a time.

Yeah, I feel the same. If between now na d the end of 2020 he gets better at that, then I might be willing to give him a contract on a yearly basis.

They are reportedly interested in Mancini. I think the market is seen as terrible on both sides though.

They had a good chance with Stroman but passed. The Jays got 2 of the Mets better prospects but neither was in the Top 100, in my mind that's cheap but time will tell how it all works out.
