Odor back to his old ways. 2 for 16 for the series.

I told you guys this was going to happen.

He mashed against teams like the royals, mariners, and tigers, but when we face a team with decent pitching he disappears.

I guess it’s enough for JD and the front office, but it shouldn’t be.

What would you have JD to do?

I'm wondering if Martin is really hurt. I think they're trying trade Leclerc, and not a good showing. Why leave him out there for 40 pitches. You had other pitchers in the bullpen and tomorrow is a off day.
That was suppose to be 30 pitches.

One thing is obvious, Santana and Calhoun need to be in the lineup everyday.

Crossing my fingers that they aren’t traded.

We need them because our young position players really suck.

Does that mean you have changed your mind about the Darvish trade?

I hated it at the time because the positions didn’t fit. JD still hasn’t fixed that problem, but I’ve seen enough of Calhoun to think that he is an everyday player and he has a nice bat.

I was hoping they’d send us walker buehler or verducci but Darvish performing poorly and the down market killed that possibility.

I guess the question is if the Mets FO really believes there’s a chance at that 2nd WC or they hedged their bets on dealing Thor and still having a rotation for this year and the next.

They're still 6 games back and time is running out fast, do they have a long winning streak in them??

My nephew writes for NY sports. Apparently the Mets gave up their # 4 and #6 in their system. But Simeon Woods Richardson was drafted last year. Mets fans believe they gave up too much for Stroman.

A prospect is a prospect is a prospect until they find a permanent home on the 25 man roster, so eventually we'll see if it was a steal or a raping. :heh: ESPN had them as 6 & 7 for the Mets, I went and looked at MLB prospects and they had already moved them over to the Jays where they have them ranked 5 & 7 for them, that was quick...

Nationals interested in Leclerc. Because of his contract we could get a good haul for him

The rumors that the wall in CF hit a double off of the throw are not true. Lots of good comments on twitter about this one. lol

This is from TR's mailbag column todsy.

Do you think what the Blue Jays got for Marcus Stroman from the Mets is the level of talent the Rangers would be willing to settle for?

-- Louis B., Fort Worth, Texas

Hope not. Left-hander Anthony Kay was the 31st overall pick in the 2016 Draft, taken immediately after the Rangers took Cole Ragans. He is in Triple-A now and could be Major League ready as soon as next year. Right-hander Simeon Woods-Richardson was a second-round pick in 2018 out of a Houston suburban high school and is only in low Class A. They were the No. 4 and No. 6 prospects in the Mets organization. These players may end up being All-Stars -- projecting where a Minor League pitcher will end up in a Major League rotation is a dubious evaluation at best -- but it still seems like the Rangers need to reap more for a player who is signed for next season on a team that could be a legitimate contender with the right bold moves now and in the offseason.

This part is why guys like it. Jamey Newberg and Adam Morris expect too much in return for Minor.

"On a team that could be a legitimate contender with the right bold moves now and in the offseason."

They cannot get it through their heads that next season isn't going to be much better than this season. There are not going to be multiple bold moves coming that will transform this team into a WS contender.

We may not get more than what Toronti got for Stroman. What they got would be better than what we would get for him when he goes to free agency though. It would be better than what we could get in trade for him a year from now too.

I just hope JD isn't wearing the same blinders that TR, Jamey, and Adam are.

Supposedly Stroman is not happy on being traded to the Mets.
