You of all people are asking me this?.......Seriously!.......That's funny......You quote every 'minisule stat' and then ask someone else this?....Really?.......I don't know, but the resluts are what-they-are......My concern is, "he can't hit lefthanded pitching to save his life.".......
I don't know the minor league splits. You implied he couldn't hit AAA lefties so I thought you might have read something. With his average at AAA I would be willing to bet he was fine against them down there. That is why I said he was ready to be brought up. Lots of guys get brought up by showing they have done well in AAA only to fail to be able to adjust up here. My point is they didn't bring him up before he was ready. That doesn't guarantee success up here though.

Ready to be brought up and ready to succeed at this level are a lot different.

Awful at bat by Calhoun

Why couldn’t he just take ball 4 and let Elvis give it a go?

Our lineup still needs to develop more of a “next guy up” mentality over the hero ball stuff.

I’m glad willie is up with the big club and playing, but it’s probably a good teaching moment.

The 3-1 and 3-2 pitches were both way out of the zone.

I don’t think so.

His approach changed after 3-1 and he swung at every single pitch thrown after. He was clearly going for the next strike that was thrown to him. He just never got one.

You don't think he got fooled? Yes he had the green light.

Calhoun has a pretty controlled swing vs your boy Odor. Guess you want guys taking 3-1.

Good pitcher on mound too. They are a factor on how well a batter does.

This is just my opinion, and it may be just a personal taste more than anything being right or wrong, but sometimes I think some of you make too much of individual at bats. That is why it is hard for me to stay with the board throughout the game. It is probably just me that feels that way, but I thought I would put my two cents in. For anyone who likes to be concerned with how each pitch is handled in an at bat, it is nothing personal, just not my cup of tea.

Reminds me of how often Wash would say "you gotta tip your cap to the guys in the other dugout," which prompted Fraley to dub them once, "the cap tipping Rangers." lol
