Trade him and bring Huff up.
At this point let's see what Lowe does the next month or so. If he's still on a hot streak and has raised his batting average to .300? I'd keep him. Not sure I want him playing 1B but maybe 2023 has Lowe at DH with Jung at 1B.

We may see it getting crowed with all the options we have. Nice problem to have.

It's always fun reading the comments from before a 10 run game happens... though I don't see any reason why Culberson is in there over Smith myself, hindsight or not

For sure. I will say that at some point I believe Texas will need to take advantage of having an excess of talented infielders in a trade for a top of the rotation pitcher.
I really like Perez and wouldn't mind seeing him sign a two- to three year extension and Gray seems to be pretty good, but I'm not sold on Dunning as anything more than a #5 starter, not sure what to make of Otto. I know Leiter and Winn are presumably going to be part of this rotation within the next two years but I don't want to just plan the future rotation around them, though, in case one of them doesn't pan out.

That is why I thought trading Lowe might land us a good pitcher since his slash line is high.

I'm wondering why they don't want to stretch Burke out. He looks like a potential rotation starter

I mean, if he can help fetch a Frontline starting pitcher, then I'd definitely be open to that, for sure.

I do wish they'd try him out at least.
If he proved to be another Hearn -a potentially really good multi-inning reliever, but a bad starter - just put him back in the pin.

Based off the amount of position player talent we have coming up, I’d be ok with trading Lowe plus for a very good starter. But definitely wouldn’t want a scrub for him.
