Currently sitting at the 10th pick right? Of the 9 picks ahead of you, 4 are definitely not taking QB and 3 are up in the air and could go either way. It's possible the Falcons could get the 3rd or 4th QB on the the board.
I would be happy if we could get Jayden Daniels or even Michael Penix. I’m not sold on Bo Nix, but even he’s probably better than Ridder.

If we had a healthy Kirk Cousins right now we would be winning the division, I have no doubt. He’s not the long term answer but he could get us to the playoffs, that’s for sure.
also couple years with cousins would be a nice bridge to whatever QB you go to find to be the future guy

Waste of Pitts and Bijan and Drake and a decent D. Trade a second for Fields. Do it.
The last thing the Falcons need is another RB.

They need a QB who can stand in the pocket and deliver throws downfield.

Pitts and London are being wasted with the current QB play, and Fields doesn’t move that needle much.

But there won't be one available unless they trade up... maybe they could sign Baker, but meh.

Fields is at 200 passing yds/game this year after being around 150 the first two years. Not exactly exciting but I can see him getting to 250 in a couple of years. He's a slow learner for a QB, I think.

Nix gives me a Marcus Mariota vibe. Success in that Oregon system vs. a lot of shitty defenses that doesn't translate to the NFL. Daniels has talent but he needs to bulk up big time. He's also too much of a runner. Penix would probably be the best fit of those three but he needs work as well. Another guy that has benefitted in college from playing lesser competition and having loads of talent around him. His WR's were virtually always wide open this year and when they weren't Odunze just won every contested throw. He has a big arm though, just not sure if he will be able to read defenses and go through his progressions vs. pro defenses.

Or, teams could trade ahead of them to ensure they get the 3rd or 4th QB off the board before #10. I think Atlanta needs to trade up to ensure their QB if that's their intent in the draft.

Maybe Mariota before he became a broken shell of his early career promise. Whomever the Falcons bring in already has elite talent at #1 WR, TE, and RB. Separation for those 3 should not be an issue.

What is the Falcons' cap space situation? Cousins will not come cheap.

Problem with Fields is that his extension is looming. 5th year option decision is due by March, then the anticipated $40-50M per extension if he remains on an upwards trajectory (which comes a year sooner without that 5th year option being picked up). The talent is intriguing, but the slow development makes this a tricky investment.

No team should consider Fields 5th year option at an expected $22M. It would be a Darnold/Mayfield scenario waiting to happen.

I tend to agree that trading up is their likely best bet because there are a few teams in that 10-20 ish range that will be trying to do the same thing. Of the teams currently drafting ahead of the Falcons, the Cardinals, Titans, Chargers aren't drafting a QB and could be looking to get more picks and of course the Bears with 2 in the top 6 will be taking calls on picks and Fields. The Giants, Commodes and Jets are the ones that are up in the air but I won't be surprised if only one of them drafts a QB, likely the Jets but their 40 yr old QB/ defacto GM might talk them out of it, lol. The Bears decision is what will set the dominos in motion, I think.
