This is a bit of a shocker to me - still in the playoff hunt. ... just seems risky.

Falcons benched Kirk Cousins in favor of Michael Penix Jr. moving forward.

I have London stock in 2 leagues so now a new QB ? come on.

Was Cousins doing him any huge favors over Ridder, Heineken or Marriota

Outside of the tuddy last game, Cousins has been ass the last several weeks, limiting the potential of the Falcons pass catchers. If Penix can throw a ball down field, and everyone seems to claim he's got a live arm, at worst this will be a wash but there's a chance it could really benefit guys like London and Pitts.

My guess: Penix will be the best leader in this class, certainly the best of the Pac-12 three. Not the best thrower, not the best ff QB, but the best leader.

Pac-12 QBs against ranked teams last year:

Williams:
ND - L - 23/37 199 yds, 1 TD, 3 INTs
Utah - L - 24/34 256 yds, 0 TDs, 0 INTs
Wash - L - 27/35 312 yds, 3 TDs, 0 INTs
Ore - L - 19/34, 291 yds, 1 TD, 0 INTs
Overall: 0-4, 93/140 66.4%, 1058 yards, 5 TDs, 3 INTs

Bo Nix:
Colo - W - 28/33, 276 yds, 3 TDs, 1 INT
Wash - L - 33/44, 337 yds, 2 TDs, 0 INTs
Utah - W - 24/31, 248 yds, 2 TDs, 0 INTs
Ore St - W - 33/40, 367 yds, 2 TDs, 0 INTs
Ore - L - 21/34, 239 yds, 3 TDs, 1 INT
Overall: 3-2, 139/182 76.4%, 1467 yards, 12 TDs, 2 INTs

Penix:
Ore - W - 22/37, 302 yds, 4 TDs, 1 INT
USC - W - 22/30, 256 yds, 2 TDs, 1 INT
Utah - W - 24/42, 332 yds, 2 TDs, 0 INTs
Ore St - W - 13/28, 162 yds, 2 TDs, 0 INTs
Ore - W - 27/39, 319 yds, 1 TD, 1 INT
Overall: 5-0 108/176 61.4%, 1371 yds, 11 TDs, 3 INTs
This 2024 class has absurd potential.

Love it as a football fan.

Speaking of body language the other day…

I liked Jameson Williams’ in the second half of a frustratingly productive night offensively.

He didn’t look angry or broken hearted. He just looked relaxed. Like he wasn’t wound so tight, like normal.

Hope the coaching staff noticed and tries to tap into that. Think it’d help him.

Especially considering how many points his defensive buddies are going to give up here on out.

Of course he was relaxed... he had the over.

Not really but now you have question whether Penix will be better or worse ? . .... known quantity vs unknown thing. ... even if the known is not great.

Very true. Short term is an absolute blindfolded crap shoot. Even if the kid is worth his draft capital, doesn't mean he'll be worth a damn ROS.

But, you just go on faith that some experience, some seasoning, plenty of watching and learning from a true pro.. well run off off and make an adequate, at worst, long term, QB.

Cousins may very well be burnt toast at this point in his career, but you know he set an example, everyday, of what to do to prepare. Hopefully Penix was watching and taking it all in

Radio Talking Heads had an interesting conversation today.

Cowboys traded their 4th round pick (124 overall) for Trey Lance.

With the 125th selection, Bucs selected Bucky Irving.

Now of course, who knew, but it sure might've solved a lot of problems for Jerra and Co.

Don't forget over this holiday season to reach out to any of your friends that drafted Xavier Worthy over Brian Thomas for a wellness check to make sure they're doing OK
And if you have Brian Thomas, trade him for Xavier Worthy because Christian Kirk for better or worse will eat into his targets next year.

Then again, the Chiefs have Rashee, Hollywood, Juju, Kelce, Gray, and I'm sure I'm probably missing someone. ;)

Kirk is going to destroy Thomas' value next year, people should just send Thomas to me so they don't have to worry about it

My opponent's RB room:
RB1 A.Jones
RB2 I.Geurendo
Bench G.Edwards 19.6pts

My RB room:
Bijan, Jacobs, Pollard, Kendre, Mattison, P.Taylor

Gutted my bench to add Miller Mattison and Taylor to block him. I will keep y'all posted for whatever backup he ends up starting, cause that scrub will prob put up 20+ pts vs me

AMMMEEEERRR

Lots of KC/StL area guys in this one, someone dropped Hunt last week so I'm fully expecting him to be the choice

Hunt, Warren, Ameer, RayDavis, Hill, Reynolds, Corum...if one of these guys are the reason I lose i don't deserve to go to the title match

Guy didn't put Hunt in, but funny that the best option available took over the lead back role today when he should've been in my opponent's lineup
