Bruh, wtf
In one league I'm in, I'm gonna be in the 3rd place game. Been streaming defenses. This week I was looking at Jax or NYG. So I put waiver claim for RB (Allgeier) and then both defenses knowing I'll get one. Guy in the championship game and ahead of me in waivers claimed BOTH of those defenses. It's not like he did it to block his opponent from playing a good defense either as that person has Dallas (vs a shitty Ten team). I could respect it if it was clear block, but its not. Who the fuck does that? Wtf are you gonna do rostering two defenses? In hindsight I guess I should have put priority on defense since the RB move was more about just in case depth, but seriously, I never thought anybody would bother rostering both defenses at the same time for no reason.

Nothing wrong with that IMO... i have done it too... or similar... if i cant decide today who i want to start, why not pick up all my choices, so if i change my decision, i have the player that i want to change to...

Nah. That's some bullshit. It's a defense. Unless there's some last minute injury to an opposing QB or something, there isn't much variance on if its a good play on Wednesday or if its a good play on Sunday Morning. It's not like a Flex play between a RB and WR where you got to think some shit thru and it really could go either way. You should have your mind made up.

Milk? Yoo hoo. You remember Best Ball? Good game. I felt you had the edge on me going into Sunday and then I got enough out of Jeudy and Fournette I ended up not even needing the points from Akers going off to secure victory.

Shockingly, I gotta agree with Milk on this one.

First and foremost, teams in the title game always get a little bit more leeway in the gray areas.
Secondly, who knows what his reasoning is, wether its to eventually play one of them, or simply to block his opponent from possibly using them, it's all good. Now, had he waited until the day before the game, added and dropped EVERY defense, putting them all on waivers, preventing anyone from making any moves at that position, THAT'S a dick move and Bush league, worthy of exile IMHO,. But rostering them, in lieu of a positional player who might need to be played in case of disaster? There's zero problem with that.

its the last week of the season, no need to stash upside RBs/WRs, drop those losers and stash DST with spicy matchups!

Unless you got a stud defense on a bye, people who roster two defenses rank with war criminals and people who put raisins in potato salad.

Yeah, sorry, but that is just wrong.

Fantasy writers talk all the time about the reasons not to invest a lot of draft capital in defense and kicker.

While I agree wholeheartedly on the kicker, defense is different. Just so matchup dependent.

I almost always carry 2 defenses on my roster unless I end up with an elite unit I can play every week. Even then, there are some teams you just don’t want to start a defense against no matter how good. And if you only roster 1, you are spending FAAB or waiver claim every time you need to change out (which honestly should be more often than most people do).

In MBBRL this year I had SF. Dallas came available during their bye week and I grabbed them.

Been rolling with 2 top 5 DSTs ever since and playing matchups.

I suggest that you open your mind a bit on the value of fantasy defenses. This is one thing I can promise you the writers have wrong.

While not a must by any stretch, it is often a good play to roster multiple DSTs.

Winner winner, prime rib dinner (better than chicken)

Make a decision, have some conviction, make the investment, and grab a good D..or even two.

Maybe he's not sure which one he really wants to start and will see how the weather is and who all is injured.

People that complain about acquisitions will fuck up your whole league!!!! They'll take a great league and make it shit.

He's in the championship. He can do what he wants to position himself best to win it.

yeah if you can afford a bench spot to carry two defenses. Then yeah I can see doing it.
This year for me I had one defense, but then someone was dumb enough to drop the eagles defense on their bye week. So I snagged them. Carried two defenses for a few weeks until I need the bench spot. Between injuries & bye weeks eventually I let go of my original defense. Since the Eagles defense already had their bye week. Just been running with them ever since.

i think an owner can roster who ever he wants especially leading to the title game

just no add drop add drop stuff add drop etc crap....

you want to swap out half of your team do it by all means feel free the choice is yours

but ya keep who you add ---

i have my league settings forcing you to keep who you add for a few days...

The easiest way to solve this problem is to just not play in leagues that use team defenses.

Who you guys like more this week? I'm kind of scrapping the bottom of the barrel - Minshew (vs NO) or Mike White (at SEA). White seems to have the better matchup, but Mania showed he can hang with a top tier DST and has better weapons. Leaning Minshew.

I like Minshew at home with a pissed off Eagles team.

here is one- Conner, Rhamondre, Chubb or Mixon.
I know- good choices but this is finals of the Guillotine league. Only two teams left and all players are either on the two teams or on waivers.
Full PPR, 6 point TDs, 1 pt for each 10 yards.
Thanks for your comments.

@tlance @TREFF @Bandit @HaroldSeattle - any thoughts ? This is a game I actually have zero business even being in, so upside is a must - he has J. Allen.

Damn Fuzzy that makes for a heck of a choice - how many can you start ? Think I'd rank 'em in the order you have shown except Mixon above Chubb. It's really close between Conner and Rhamondre based on their strong matchups - Chubb and Mixon easily the toughest road plus Chubb has taken a downward turn since Watson took over as QB.
