I know Ertz will screw me whether I play him or sit him. goedard has gotten quite a few targets lately.
Got everything to do with opposing defenses game planning Ertz. If he constantly getting bracketed/doubled, and Goedart is running free, of course he's gonna get more looks. Once D's decide to go back to playing it straight up (mostly), Ertz will go back to dominating one on one matchups...problem is, no D coordinator is gonna reveal that until it happens on the field

time to sit julio?:suds:

Matt Ryan has been ruled out for Week 8 against the Seahawks.
This will be Ryan's first missed start in over a decade. His ankle injury wasn't worth playing through with the Falcons out of the playoff picture, especially with a Week 9 bye awaiting. Atlanta will, unfortunately, be starting 38-year-old Matt Schaub, who has 14 passing touchdowns to 20 interceptions since 2013. Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley, Austin Hooper, and Devonta Freeman's outlooks obviously have to be downgraded for this week.

hes back:suds:

SPN's Dianna Russini reports Drew Brees will start Week 8 against the Cardinals.
The Saints have a Week 9 bye, but they are comfortable enough with Brees' health to rush him back into the starting lineup. Brees hasn't played since Week 2 and carries some injury risk, but the home matchup against the Cardinals is close to perfect. Brees' return doesn't change the outlook for Michael Thomas -- he's a beast regardless -- but it does make Ted Ginn more interesting as a dart throw since Brees has been more willing to throw the ball deep compared to Teddy Bridgewater. The last question for the Saints is if Alvin Kamara will play through his high-ankle injury or if it will be Latavius Murray carrying the load at running back. That piece of the puzzle will likely come down to the wire tomorrow morning. The 6-1 Saints are battling for the top seed in the NFC.

He’s good. Look at his team. He can’t go anywhere, and horrible useage.

Now Melvin Gordon. Is who I thought he was.

NFL.com's Tom Pelissero reports the Bengals will bench Andy Dalton following their Week 9 bye.
A move several years in the making, we are still surprised the arch-conservative Bengals are making it. The Bengals will turn to fourth-round rookie Ryan Finley following their Week 9 bye.
Well, guess time will tell if it's time to dump all CIN WR's. ......

Guess who's gonna use their first rounder to draft a QB next year? In the meantime, I'd prefer yer old buddy Tanny in a fantasy crunch.

I was offered Devonta Freeman for Robby Anderson. I kinda hate the former's schedule and love the latter's but I still have to take this, right? My RBs right now are Fournette, Aaron Jones (both with byes still to come) and Breida. WRs are Mike Evans, John Brown and Keenan Allen (bye in 12).

Right now I'm using a lot of roster spots for other matchup purposes and stashes (roster rules in this league are a little bit odd) but I also figure it would be easier to find a WR option on waivers than a RB if/when I open up a spot. Thanks in advance for any input! And I mean that even if the input is "shut the fuck up and eat potato salad"

If your goal is to add RB depth then Freeman about as good as you can expect for Anderson IMO. Not that I'd be thrilled about trading for D. Freeman, he doesn't look like he has it anymore. He's been able to catch some passes to stay relevant and as a RB4 should be fine.

Yep this is a big part of why I asked, in a vacuum I'm not big on Freeman at all. But I figure that touches are more important than ability in a role that is basically just as insurance anyway. The league is also non-PPR and TD heavy scoring (sorry, I should have said that) so Breida is a little less valuable.

Do you agree with me on the roles (that I could use the RB insurance more than the WR insurance)? Thanks for the thoughts!

Well I think your RBs are better then your WRs TBH but agree it is easier to find a WR off waivers.

Yep that's kind of how I feel about it too. The extra bye week in my starting backfield and the increased chance of injury at the position are factors I'm considering as well.

I like hearing that what I'm thinking is good. I'd love to hear some contrary thoughts too if anyone out there thinks I'm being stupid

Need to pick two from these 3 players to start:

D. Adams - just back from a extended time off due to turf toe. Is he 100%? Does he need time to shake off the rust?

D. Henry- PPR league limits his usefulness

JuJu- Good game last week finally, but that was against the Dolphins.
