I think Deacon Jones and Marshall Faulk are the 2 guys on there for sure. From there, you could argue about 7 or 8 names. Dickerson was the most talented and Slater the most tenured so Ill go with them.

Agreed. Deacon Jones and Marshall Faulk are two of the greatest at their positions, not only in team history... but, in league history. You'd be hard pressed to find a legit argument to exclude them.

Excellent debates could be made for many others, though. I guess if it came down to it, I'd go with Eric Dickerson and Kurt Warner, to round it out. Dickerson was an all-time great and the GSOT days (and subsequent Super Bowl title) never happen without Warner.

I think Kurt Warner and 'Night Train' Lane have the best stories but dont have enough longevity with the team to make the list, imo.

I thought about the longevity part, as well. But, c'mon, man... Warner helped bring us a ring! :yahoo:

I always thought of Dick Lane as a Lion. That may have been the tail end of his career but the pair of CBs with Lane and Dick LeBeau may be the best of all time. I honestly didn't even know he played for the Rams and had to go look it up.

Very true but its hard to pick Warner over Norm Van Brocklin and Bob Waterfield scoring 39pts a game for a season and winning a championship. Of course this happened before my mom was born so its difficult to compare

Damn KSU this one is freaking hard! I guess for me, I'll just have to put some personal criteria to narrow it down.

1. Must be a HOFer as a Ram.
2. Must have seen play.

With that said, here's my list...

1. David 'Deacon' Jones
2. Merlin Olsen
3. Eric Dickerson
4. Jackie Slater

Man I know I left some great Rams off of this very, very short list however somehow no matter who is on the list or whatever the criteria, this dude needs to be acknowledged ...

Los Angeles

Merlin Olsen
Deacon Jones
