Rams Interest In Carr Makes No Sense

I understand them being interested in Murray because he's likely to be available in the 2nd round.

Their interest in Carr is puzzling because there is no way they are taking a QB in the 1st when they have other holes to fill that can start right away. Carr is not going to start over Bradford.

If they are doing this as a smokescreen, it's a terrible ploy because nobody is going to buy it. No team is going to think the Rams are taking Carr at #13, so why all the interest and private workout? He's not lasting till the 2nd.

This is my thought. I wouldn't be surprised to see 1 or 2 of the top 3 slide out of the top 10 either.

i believe teams will look at players like Carr that other teams might move up to get, possible at 13. it gives them an idea of the value of the player. Carr is shooting up the boards. pats are looking at Johnny and Bridgewater for instance.

But the point is, nobody is going to believe they will take a QB at #13- not with S, OL and CB being much more pressing needs.

So, the smokescreen won't work. Teams will call their bluff.

I do believe the Rams could trade out of #13, but not because teams are afraid the Rams will take a QB. It will be for some other player a team covets.
