It is a win for both imo. Lions are not going to get Stafford talent at the spot, but they also would never have won with him. They could have wasted the rest of his career for no results, instead they got a bunch of picks to try and build a team with. Holmes is the first gm we have had in my lifetime that can do the right things with the picks.

Plus Stafford gets to shake the bullshit narrative that he can't win. If the Rams win this SB his entire career looks different. Everybody won this trade.

Everybody CAN win with this trade. The Lions part depends on how they use those picks IMO and how they move on from Goff.

Reeder and WIlliams will probably be left to go. They'll sign OBJ and Corbett. Oko is questionable. Gay will be a def. Allen they should let walk and they should sign Shelton. Von Miller is going to go for the money but knows he can always re-up with the Rams. Hopefully he comes back.

Early speculation with heavy emphasis on Von Miller has the Rams re-signing Von Miller to a 2-year deal worth $33 million, Matt Gay, Coleman Shelton, Austin Corbett, and extending Matthew Stafford. Sportrac has the complete list of FAs. See below.
