Wildcard tiebreakers for those that want a reminder

Very well could come down to strength of victory with the big log jam.

Quick observations in NFC:
- SF and WFT only 2 teams that DO control their own destinies
- SF better record than others presently... if win out no one can catch them
- WFT better W/L in conference than others with 4 conference games left (if win all their games no team can catch their conference W/L)
- Eagles almost control their own destiny, but appears they do not presently
- 2 games vs WFT and if win both and other 2 games would leap frog WFT
- Problem is Vikings... if Vikings win out think they still lose tiebreaker to Vikings as would go to SOV. Vikings have substantial SOV lead presently and remaining schedule for Vikings has Rams, Packers and Bears x2... Eagles WFT x2, Giants and Cowboys... do not think that will help Eagles for SOV to pass Vikings.
- Falcons very poor conference record at 3-6 (are 3-1 vs AFC), most likely need to leap frog all the teams ahead of them. Remaining schedule @49ers, Lions, @Bills, Saints. Almost a must win vs 49ers this weekend, if lose cannot catch 49ers and probably difficult to catch WFT/Eagles winner as will be effectively 2 games behind winner with 3 to play.
- Saints - similar to Falcons with 4-5 conference record (Falcons presently ahead for head to head). Almost have must win game @bucs this weekend, if lose that will be very difficult for conference W/L tiebreaker going forward and considering WFT/Eagles most likely will have winner will be effectively 2 games behind winner with 3 to play.

Im excited for a real thursday game and this one seems to have massive implications. Real chance for the Chargers to show they are ready.

Well, well, well. So many possibilities in AFC.
The weak conference according to the pundits.

This game left many questions. The Chargers with missed opportunity after missed opportunity. How can they vist the RZ that many times and not score? Against the Chiefs?

They have an explosive offense but if they continue to give awsy points in that manner they will not go far. That and poor coaching decisions will be their demise.

Chargers losing was a good first step, need the Colts to lose to help out too. Of course nothing else matters if Denver can't beat Cincy.

So...if Fields doesn't work out, that would make 2 QBs that they gave up multiple 1st round picks for....and 2 firsts for Mack...and this is all on Nagy and not the GM... Nagy is not good...but not all of this fail is on him...that is for sure

NFC's playoff picture is starting to settle down.

Packers, Bucs, Cowboys all are in comfortable divisional leads. Rams and Cardinals are in a big fight for the division but both will make the playoffs. 9ers probably only need 1 win out of the next 3 to claim a playoff spot and 2 wins basically will clinch it for them but it's hard to imagine them getting bounced out completely.

So it's mainly the last wildcard spot that's going to be a scrum for the NFC.

AFC's playoff picture is a complete mess.

Chief's are the only team with some breathing room and should make the playoffs. The rest of the AFC is all over the as nearly every team has to win out or win 2 out of their next 3 to secure a spot. I mean Pats and Titans have a tiny bit of breathing room but it's not unreasonable for them to completely out of it by the end despite being the #2 and #3 seed currently.

Appears your screen capture is without last nights results.

Eagles should be 7-7 and ahead of Saints as they own the tiebreaker with head to head win. They are behind Vikings who have been conference record.

WFT 6-8 and own tiebreaker over Falcons.

Rams 10-4, but still lose tiebreaker to Cards for divisional record.

This looks right. NFC looks mostly set.

Chiefs do have some breathing room but they probably need to win 2 out 3 to win their division. Chargers probably have one of the easiest remaining schedules and I'd imagine if the Chiefs and Chargers tie then the Chargers will likely own the tie breaker. If the Chiefs have to play the Steelers without Kelce, Hill, and multiple starters on defense then I'd honestly say the Chargers still have about a 40% shot at winning the division.

Dolphins winning out would probably knock someone out like Tennessee or New England. Which would be pretty crazy.

Steelers probably need to win out but it seems like everything is breaking right for them. Chiefs hit by COVID. Ravens are a mess with injuries. Browns are the Browns.

That's just it, the only certainty is uncertainty. You can't really count on anybody taking care of their business and even if they have been they get knocked on their behind by covid....just crazy. The good news is these last 3 weeks of games are important to more teams than I can recall...not sure if it's going to a 17 game season, nobody is truly dominant or just an anomaly.
